    Construction Quality Engineer

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Accountable for the quality and quality of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural, and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary processes.
    • Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
    • Develop and determine all standards to perform inspections and tests on all procedures, oversee all testing methods, and maintain high-quality standards for all processes.
    • Review the quality of all materials at the site, ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality, and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and quality materials.
    • Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence to all procedures, and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.
    • Assist employees in ensuring knowledge of all quality standards, ensure compliance with all quality manuals and procedures, and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality of all systems.
    • Manage to lift all equipment, handle the efficient storage of all hazardous materials, and perform quality audits per the required schedule.
    • Monitor an efficient system, record all project activities, and analyze all processes to ensure all work meets quality requirements.
    • Manage all work methods, maintain knowledge of quality assurance standards, monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes, and recommend corrective actions for all operations.
    • Develop a method statement for the activity, including risk assessment, job safety environmental analysis, and Inspection
    • Test Plan and Checklist based on project specifications.
    • Liaise with the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to the Consultant
    • Coordinate with the Consultant’s representative and Site In-charge for Inspection.

    Requirements and skills

    • Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant field with 2 - 3 years relevant work experience.
    • Additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus
    • Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role
    • Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies
    • In-depth understanding of technical documentation
    • Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
    • Team spirit
    • Good analytical skills.

    Salary
    N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.

    Construction Site Accountant

    Job Responsibilities

    • Maintain and reconcile construction project budget
    • Review invoices and subcontractor agreements for accuracy
    • Process payments to vendors and subcontractors
    • Prepare journal entries and monthend close reports
    • Monitor cash flow and forecast future needs
    • Assist with audits of construction projects.

    Objectives

    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for construction projects
    • Analyze construction costs and track project expenditures
    • Forecast construction revenue and expenses
    • Identify cost saving opportunities for construction projects
    • Provide financial reporting and analysis to construction managers
    • Assist with the development of bids and proposals for new construction projects
    • Monitor compliance with government regulations related to construction finance.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • A certification in construction accounting is preferred.
    • A minimum of 3 year's experience in private or public accounting.
    • Excellent knowledge of construction cost accounting and related financial procedures.
    • Working knowledge of the construction industry.
    • Solid analytical and mathematical skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
