    Head of Supply Chain

    The opportunity

    The role of the Head of Supply Chain is to provide support to the field offices and the Country Office in the following areas: General administration, procurements, logistics, office management, contracts/legal issues. Under the guidance of the Director of Operations, the Head of Supply Chain will ensure timely and highest quality procurements, the smooth & efficient operations of Plan International Nigeria’s facilities, inventory, fleet and travel management by developing, implementing and evaluating maintenance and improvement programs as they relate to the continuous operations of the organization. S/he will plan, manage all operational, support, monitoring and reporting tasks of the country in the above listed areas. S/He will be responsible for the effective utilization of resources including staff with diverse range of capabilities.

    About You

    • We are looking for a professional in Supply Chain with at least a Master’s degree in Business/Public Administration, Logistics/Supply chain management or any related field.
    • S/he should possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience providing a whole range of Supply Chain services in an organisation, ideally with at least 3 years in an International NGO.
    • The ideal candidate should have strong Supply Chain management skills, good report writing skills and ability to develop effective work plans, manage time and priorities in order to meet departmental objectives.
    • Proficiency in the use of relevant applications including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), SAP and other relevant applications will be an added advantage

    Community and Social Mobilization Officer

    The opportunity

     

    The Community and Social Mobilization Officer’s role works closely with the ccommunication unit on content and strategies for engaging with different external stakeholders. The role holder leads implementation in communities and LGAs working with community volunteers and other adhoc staff. The position holder will coordinate closely with Field Manager to build strategically partnerships and maintain an updated contact across the states for leverage by Plan International Nigeria partners when required. The staff will work closely with safeguarding unit and the complaint and feedback mechanism to strengthen reporting channels to ensure safe and accountable programming across the states.

    S/he will be responsible for building strong relationships with local communities and relevant stakeholders across Adamawa and Yobe to promote a better understanding of the Alliance for Resilience to Climate-related Hazards (ARCH) interventions and ensure participation in all Climate Resilient activities in communities. This role involves organizing community actions on the project, conducting educational outreach, and mobilizing community members to adopt climate-resilient practices.

    About You

    • We are looking for an experienced community mobilizer/engagement personnel with at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Education, Environmental Science, Social Work and related field). With at least 3-5 years’ experience in similar role in an NGO. S/he should have the ability to coordinate activities involving different stakeholders with experience working in related context (North east).
    • Familiarity with the culture and context of the Northeast, ability to work collaboratively with diverse community members and stakeholders. In addition to understanding the local language will be an added advantage.

    Director of Operations

    The opportunity

    The Director of Operations is a member of the Senior Leadership Team along with other country managers and is expected to contribute to Plan International Nigeria’s understanding and strategic direction in the country. He or she deputises for CD as required and if needed in relation to external stakeholders;

    • The Director-OP line manages two support managers in the areas of Supply Chain and Information Technology (IT), and work closely with the grant team.
    • The Director-OP technically work with the internal auditor who reports to the Country Director.
    • The Director-OP reports regularly to the CD on the management of all risks associated with programme delivery including, IT admin, logistics and procurement.
    • The Director-OP provides technical oversight and support to Programme Units (PU) in managing risks and remaining compliance in the delivery of cost-effective programmes.
    • Provides guidance and support to all Program Units, Project managers, and the country leadership team for all administration and IT issues
    • Has responsibility for designing, adapting and ensuring compliance with organizational internal policies, SOP and country regulations
    • The monitoring of Supply Chain and IT audit action lists and risk register
    • The Director-OP manages the Supply Chain and IT support budget.
    • Provides overall management to the Country Office’s Information Technology (IT) unit to
    • Ensure that optimum administrative support is provided to services to Country Office projects within Plan
    • International operational procedures.
    • Participate in the country oversight time for regular update and strategic input by the regional director and other members of the oversight group.

    About You

    • We are looking for a seasoned operations professional with at least a Master’s degree in associated fields – finance, business administration and management. He/she should have proven experience in finance management, administration management, business management and procurement process.
    • The desired candidate should posses 8 to 10 years’ experience in a managerial role and at least 5 years in an International NGO

    Finance Officer

    The Opportunity

    The post holder will provide timely, accurate financial information and ensure that Grant expenditures are in line with specific FAD/donor requirements. The role’s support is to the ARCH project in Yobe and Adamawa. He/she will contribute towards the financial management of the office and programmes, interfacing with both operational and programme team members, and will also contribute towards the organisational development of Plan International’s implementing partners

    About You

    We are looking to recruit person (s) with:

    • Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in donor funds grants administration.
    • Experience working with sub-grantees required.
    • Fluency in local language and English required.
    • Preferred qualifications: knowledge of and experience with the key donors in the industry is strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge of the SAP system
    • Experience providing capacity development assistance to sub-grantees is strongly preferred.
