    Specialist - Power System Operations North

    Mission:

    • To carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance on key power equipment in switching centers and technical locations. Which includes generator, transformer, UPS, rectifier, HVAC, and diesel management.
    • Support implementation in project implementation.
    • Support the power planning unit in providing the raw data needed for planning and monitoring.

    Description:

    • Ensure strict adherence to all policies, processes, and procedures of MTN for power planning systems and continuous improvement to foster efficiency.
    • Ensure that all power executions are carried out in line with the standards and specifications of MTN and in accordance with all national and international best practices.
    • Ensure all presentations and reports (daily, weekly, etc.) on the overall power systems of the network are available.
    • Ensure an accurate database of power and cooling systems is available and updated as required.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain an efficient management information system for the power planning unit.

    • To monitor through site visits and data gathering from the ESS team to ensure adequate capacities are available.
    • To work with the facility implementation team to ensure successful implementation of M&E projects and to verify all M&E designs and drawings from vendors and facility implementation consultants.
    • Plan and assist in the implementation of power and cooling systems as specified in MTNN requirements.
    • Develop the scope of work and specifications for all M&E (power and cooling) systems.
    • Verify the scope of work and carry out acceptance of power, cooling, and M&E projects.
    • Verify and confirm proof of concepts for trials on power and energy initiatives.
    • To reduce power and cooling-related faults in the network due to poor or lack of proper planning in the technical and non-technical sites and facilities.

    Education:

    • BSC/HND in Electrical/Electronic and mechanical engineering from a reputable Institution.
    • Professional membership and qualification from accredited engineering body is an added advantage.
    • A Post Graduate qualification is an added advantage

    Experience:

    3–7 years of work experience, which must include:

    • Good experience in M&E designs and installations
    • Hands-on experience in the maintenance of HVAC, UPS, transformers, generators, and rectifiers
    • Hands on, on cable management and termination.
    • Ability to carry out an earth integrity test.
    • Ability to carry out predictive fault prevention.
    • Power and cooling system dimensioning
    • Competent in Auto Card application or other technical design software.

    Manager - NES Regional North

    Mission:

    • Responsible for the management of Network Enterprise Services and Fixed Broadband Services Operations in the region. 
    • To manage NES regional operations activities and provide top class post implementation support for MTNN Enterprise and Fixed Broadband Services.

    Description:

    • Manage the activities of the NES operations in the region.
    • Manage the NES region to ensure service vendors and 3rd party contractors responsible for routine and call-out maintenance of NES networks and systems are performing within agreed SLA.
    • Monitor regional network performance, MSV coverage clusters and configuration to ensure operational presence in the cities under the region are adequately supported to meet and conformance with signed KPI’s.
    • Work closely with RTMs to handle local network queries raised by the stakeholder teams (Client Success team, NSMC)
    • Support supply chain in technical evaluations of all new vendors or intending vendors.

    Analyst - CVM in Large Enterprise

    Officer - Process and Compliance

    Description

    • Adherence to Supplier/ Customer related contracts/agreements 
    • Analyze business impact and recommend action plan (including proposed corrective actions)
    • Report and communicate the observations, business impact and proposed action plan to Manager, Analysis & Reporting
    • Liaise with sourcing team to obtain additional information to ensure supplier is complying with MTN terms and conditions
    • Monitor the corrective action plan agreed, and report the status
    • Adherence to GSSC related SLAs, Policies and Procedures

    • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) as per the defined QA procedures to ensure compliance to SLAs, policies and procedures related to GSSC
    • Monitor the corrective action plan agreed, and report the status
    • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) to check adherence to supplier and customer contract/ agreement related terms and conditions
    • Exceptions Handling and Reporting
      • Identify potential sensitive issues and escalate them to the appropriate levels

    Education:

    Manager - Service Fulfillment

    Mission:

    • Develop and manage end-to-end service fulfillment operations for FTTx customers, as per SLA and business objectives. Develop effective strategies for optimal home connections and achievement of targets.
    • Plan and own team management to accelerate home broadband connections for high-value customers in a professional, agile manner with an uncompromising concern for safety, quality, aesthetics, and time.

    • Drive the adoption of New Growth Opportunities for the Business within the Fibre service segment
    • Manage the tracking of new job orders (JO) on DCLM, push them to appropriate home connection (HC) partners and orchestrate their fulfillment in compliance with the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP), SLA, Customer Service Etiquette and MTN Service Culture.
    • Proactively manage and resolve all operational challenges experienced by HC partners during home connection visits and installation.
    • Manage team to ensure that installers test broadband service and do proper housekeeping before they leave customer location. 
    • Be involved in upskilling and capacity training of field service partners and installer teams - leverage diverse service fulfilment scenarios as use cases to educate and improve service standards.
    • Coach and train direct reports to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their training needs.
    • Review the performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.

    Education:

    • First degree in Social Sciences, Engineering, or IT Related Disciplines 
    • Fluent in English 

    Experience:

    6 - 13 years’ experience which includes:

    • 5 or more years’ experience in a service fulfilment role, in a telecoms, ecommerce, or financial services industry.
    • Experience working in a medium organization and a multi-vendor network environment, preferably a telecommunications business environment.
    • Incidence management experience on an FTTH network, including fault discovery and resolution.
    • Field service management experience, including planning, scheduling, inventory management, process management, quality control and performance reporting/analytics.
    • A good knowledge of GPON, LAN and related access technologies. 
    • Understanding of MTN fibre broadband products – an added advantage.
    • Project management, CFOT, Quality Management certifications or its equivalent will be an added advantage
    • Excellent organizing, time management and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
