    Recovery Officer

    Qualifications

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING OUT FOR:

    • Minimum of HND or Degree in Finance, Economic, Business Administration etc. from a reputable University or Polytechnic.
    • Minimum of 2 years working experience in Loan and Asset Recovery activities.
    • Hands-on experience working in a Microfinance and/or FINTECH space 
    • Strong planning, organizational and time management abilities
    • Experience in database Management.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Follow up on major debtors to resolve Loan repayment challenges before default.
    • Working to repossess/recover Assets and properties of defaulting Loan Clients e.g; Bikes, Cars e.t.c..
    • Monitor Loan Portfolio of the Bank for the purpose of resolving issues with NPL (Non-Performing Loans) and scaling down the overall
    • Portfolio at Risk of the Bank.
    • Carry out regular calls, site and follow up visits, to implement remedial strategies and action plans agreed with the Team Lead.
    • Raise and tender Demand Notices to defaulting customers of the Bank
    • Review all credit files for proper documentation and monitoring.
    • Provide progress reports on interactions with Loan Customers in respect of Loan repayment status.
    • Monitor and obtain background information and feedback on all accounts assigned to the Assets & Recovery Agencies to ensure
    • Accounts to them are fully recovered.
    • Monitoring and recovery of Past due obligations/Expired Loans in the Bank.
    • Follow up on sale of securities deposited for collateral alongside the legal department after other remedial strategies have been exhausted.
    • Preparation and recommendation of strategies for recoveries on major assigned accounts to the Team Lead.
    • Preparation of Payment Vouchers to Business Partners for Loan repayment deduction and remittance.

    Job Role

    The primary purpose of this position centres on ensuring the Bank’s operations are properly designed, documented and managed. The positions covers:

    • Risk Management (credit risk Analysis)
    • Debt Repayment
    • Asset/Collateral Recovery and Maintenance
    • PAR (Portfolio at Risk) and Credit Monitoring
    • NPL (Non Performing Loans) and PDO (Past due Obligations) review and recovery
    • In-depth knowledge of Debt/Asset Recovery Policies.

    QA Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality
    • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
    • Monitor debugging process results
    • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
    • Test current products and identify deficiencies
    • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
    • Develop and monitor performance metrics for all stages of the production process
    • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and ensure consistent project execution
    • Plan, create and manage the overall quality planning strategy
    • Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement
    • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
    • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
    • Leverage automation capability for API testing
    • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
    • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
    • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
    • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
    • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
    • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
    • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
    • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
    • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

    Qualifications

    • BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
    • Minimum of 3+ years experience as QA Software Engineer
    • Familiar with native Android and IOS development frameworks
    • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
    • Proven work experience in software development and quality assurance
    • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
    • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing, hands-on experience with automated testing tools
    • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
    • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
    • Experience with performance and/or security testing
    • Know and understand the rules of creating a good API, how http works, and how to create JSON/XML files.
    • Proven work experience in the  use of  tools that are good for particular test tasks (Charles, Postman, JMeter, etc.)

    Head Risk Management

    Purpose of the Position:

    • The Head Risk Management has overall responsibility for the Risk Management function.
    • The position is responsible for ensuring risk management activities are closely aligned with global best practices in executing the duties across the Company’s business and financial operations.
    • He/she works to ensure roles, responsibilities, and results are efficiently coordinated and optimised to ensure the effectiveness of risk management.

    Key Functions:

    • You will maintain oversight over the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities
    • Establish and company-wide risk management
    • Responsible for implementing the bank’s Risk Management Policy Framework as periodically revised and approved by the Board of Directors.
    • You will be responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures that will reduce credit risk in the Bank.
    • Ensuring that the bank’s risk identification and assessment is built on sound and reliable frameworks and systems.
    • Work with the data science team to design and implement robust data driven credit risk processes and policies to support the scale up our credit businesses. While also leveraging customer data to build risk segmentation and mitigation strategies.
    • Perform regular reviews and analysis of the non performing loans to identify common factors, and leverage the insights to modify the credit risk processes to prevent these factors, track the changes to ensure improved performance.
    • You will work closely with the Technology team to drive automation of the necessary reports for effective monitoring of the credit portfolio and the credit risk
    • Developing methods to generate a robust system to identify, monitor, manage and control credit, market and operational risks.
    • Facilitate the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, controlling and reporting the level of risks
    • Act as the champion of risk management for the Company and help improve Management team understanding of key risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting and mitigation.
    • Provide support, education and training to all team members in order to drive risk awareness across the business
    • Work with loan recovery team, in negotiating work out plans and strategies for delinquent customers and provide additional support with respect to exposures requiring collection agencies or legal action
    • Prepare timely, comprehensive and reliable credit risk reports to senior management and board on a regular basis
    • Monitor and manage the performance and development of direct reports.
    • Develop appropriate Risk Management strategies/tools and disseminate appropriate risk management practices in line with developments in business products, change in clients, markets/industry, laws and regulations.

    Qualifications

    Candidate Requirement

    • BSc in Accounts, Finance, Economics or related subjects
    • Minimum of 5 years in the financial services, with sufficient experience in risk management.
    • Clearly demonstrate competency in Enterprise Risk Management, Credit Risk Management, regulatory and other statutory requirements, especially in areas of credit risk management.
    • Awareness of emerging and innovative credit risk assessment such social scoring, alternative credit scoring and big data analytics tools.
    • Excellent knowledge of various types of risks (credit, operational, market, liquidity, environment and social)
    • Strong execution and operational skills, with ability to define and map processes and ensuring compliance
    • Strong data analysis skills, the ability to study data and find correlations that can be used to improve data-driven decisions
    • Ideally Microfinance Certification program (MCP) certified and professional Risk Management certification
