     Head of Training and Leadership Development

    Our client, a non-governmental organisation, is seeking an experienced Head of Training and Leadership Development to lead the design and delivery of high-impact training and leadership development programmes for Fellows. The role oversees a team that supports 500–550 Fellows throughout their two-year fellowship, equipping them to become transformational teachers and future leaders. The role is also responsible for measuring programme impact on student achievement and leadership outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Set and execute the organisation’s vision for training, leadership development, and Fellow impact.
    • Design and deliver high-quality training programmes, including a 4–6 week residential institute and ongoing professional development.
    • Lead, coach, and manage the Training & Support team to deliver ambitious results.
    • Develop leadership competencies, coaching frameworks, and learning resources for Fellows.
    • Build and manage strategic partnerships with schools, universities, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
    • Measure and evaluate programme impact on student learning and leadership development.
    • Serve as a member of the senior leadership team, contributing to organisational strategy and cross-functional initiatives.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
    • 8–10 years relevant experience, with at least 4 years in team leadership.
    • Strong background in teaching, leadership development, and adult learning.
    • Experience working in Nigeria or a similar context preferred.

    Operations Director

    Our client, a non-governmental organisation, is seeking an experienced Operations Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation. The role is responsible for translating organisational strategy into effective operations, overseeing core support functions, and serving as a key advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Board.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategy

    • Support the CEO and Management Team in developing and executing organisational strategy, KPIs, and operational plans aligned with the Theory of Change.
    • Provide strategic input on organisational design, systems, and people to deliver the organisation’s mission effectively.
    • Champion a people-centred, inclusive, and performance-driven culture.

    Leadership & Management

    • Provide strategic oversight and line management across finance, HR, risk, operations, legal, technology, administration, and communications.
    • Identify and manage organisational risks, ensuring compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Coach and develop senior team members to strengthen leadership capacity and operational excellence.

    Operations & Performance

    • Ensure effective policies, processes, and controls are in place to drive efficiency and productivity.
    • Analyse operational performance and implement process improvements across teams.

    Finance, Resources & Governance

    • Ensure financial sustainability through effective budgeting, planning, treasury, and financial controls.
    • Oversee financial reporting, audits, funder compliance, and risk management in collaboration with the CEO and Board.
    • Act as a key liaison with auditors, funders, and regulatory bodies as required.

    Legal & Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, contractual, and funder requirements.
    • Oversee contract approvals, grant management systems, and internal compliance frameworks.

    Technology, HR & Communications

    • Oversee IT systems, data platforms, and cybersecurity to enable efficient, future-ready operations.
    • Lead the organisation’s People Strategy, including performance management, engagement, learning, and talent development.
    • Provide oversight for marketing and communications to ensure brand alignment and consistency.

    Office & Administration

    • Provide governance support, including Board documentation and reporting.
    • Oversee procurement, office infrastructure, inventory management, and operational expenditure approvals.

    Key Requirements

    • Senior leadership experience with broad operational responsibility.
    • Strong knowledge of HR, finance, risk management, IT, and governance best practices.
    • Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and working with Boards.
    • Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
