    Product Designer

    Description

    • As a Product Designer, you will play a key role in our product team, crafting intuitive and visually appealing product flows, creating interactive prototypes, and helping drive data-informed design decisions across our product suite. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design seamless user experiences and develop innovative solutions that align with our business goals. Your work will be critical in elevating the overall user experience and shaping the future of our products.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the design process by integrating market analysis, customer feedback, user research, and technical constraints into thoughtful design solutions
    • Rapidly create workflows, wireframes, design mockups, and prototypes to bring new product ideas and feature enhancements to life, applying pixel-perfect attention to detail when necessary
    • Simplify complex processes into intuitive, elegant user interfaces that enhance user satisfaction
    • Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure design intentions are executed accurately through to deployment

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in designing consumer-facing and mobile products
    • Proficiency in creating interactive experiences using prototyping software or hand-drawn methods
    • Understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, allowing for informed design and interaction decisions
    • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment that embraces experimentation and continuous improvement
    • Strong visual design skills with a demonstrated ability to own product design from concept to launch
    • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and effectively synthesize feedback from business leaders, product managers, and engineers
    • Experience in designing native mobile apps, with a focus on user-centric experiences
    • Ability to design products that cater to diverse, global audiences

    Field Officer (Public Health)

    Description

    • The Field Officer will be responsible for overseeing field activities, ensuring that project objectives are met on the ground, and acting as the primary liaison between the project team and local communities. The Field Officer will play a key role in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, addressing local challenges, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders at the community and health levels.

    Responsibilities: 

    Project Implementation

    • Oversee the roll-out and implementation of the digital technology project in designated areas, ensuring that all activities align with project goals and timelines.
    • Facilitate the deployment of the mobile application and USSD platform, ensuring that users understand and can access the tools effectively.
    • Organize and conduct community sensitization sessions to raise awareness about the project and the benefits of using the digital tools.

    User Support and Training

    • Provide on-the-ground support to users, including training on how to use the mobile app and USSD platform.
    • Address user concerns, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide real-time assistance to ensure smooth operation of the digital tools.
    • Gather feedback from users to identify common challenges and work with the technical team to implement solutions.

    Community Engagement

    • Act as the primary liaison between the project team and the community, ensuring clear communication and fostering trust.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and other stakeholders to encourage participation and support for the project.
    • Engage with community members to understand their needs and preferences regarding digital technology and incorporate their feedback into project activities.

    Monitoring and Reporting

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in public health, Nursing, Community Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in fieldwork, community engagement, training and implementing projects that involve digital technology
    • Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and provide user support.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse communities.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances.
    • Knowledge of data privacy standards and best practices.
    • Fluency in English and proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
    • Resident in Ogbia or Nembe LGA in Bayelsa State.

    Backend Engineer (Elixir)

    • We are looking to hire a Backend  Engineer (Elixir) who will be responsible for all aspects of the development and delivery of applications. 

    Responsibilities

    • Support and maintain existing production code in the field and develop and deliver new enhancements and products to our client base. 
    • Collaborate with product management, operations, quality, and front-end engineers to deliver the right solution. 
    • Develop reliable, high-performance service applications using Elixir - Phoenix.
    • Provision, configure, and develop against remote infrastructure in AWS. 

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with at least 3 years of programming experience with Elixir
    • Must have experience defining the scope and directing the work of mid-level - junior software engineers
    • Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developer with our API 
    • Building reusable code and libraries for future use 
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) 
    • Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability 
    • Separation of centralized services into microservices 
    • Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible/Chef/Puppet, or similar tools 
    • Pride in readable, well-designed, well-tested software. 
    • Experience with relational databases (PostGreSQL, MySQL) and key-value stores (Memcache, Redis)

    Compliance Manager

    • The Compliance Manager will be responsible for implementing, updating and managing the Helium Health compliance program across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of industry-specific regulations and standards and internal policies. The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance measures are effectively adhered to and integrated into business processes is an important prerequisite. 
    • The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related matters, proactively identifying and addressing potential compliance risks, and keeping abreast of changes in regulations and industry best practices in the regions of operation. 

    Responsibilities: 

    Implement the Helium Health compliance program: 

    • Continuously improve and implement the Helium Health compliance program.
    • Create and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines to promote compliance throughout the organization. 

    Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations: 

    • Stay current with local, regional, and international regulations impacting the industry, and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders. 
    • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and take appropriate corrective actions. 

    Provide compliance guidance and training: 

    • Develop and conduct organization wide sensitization sessions centered around the Helium Health compliance program to enhance compliance awareness and understanding. 
    • Educate employees (new and old) on the Helium Health compliance requirements, fostering a strong compliance culture throughout the organization. 
    • Share regular compliance updates via newsletters and companywide internal communications 

    Risk Identification 

    • Coordinate stakeholder engagement for the management of business risks that may exist within each respective department’s processes, procedures and controls
    • Develop, update and monitor the Helium Health compliance risk register and framework 
    • Continuous update and monitoring of the Helium Health compliance risk register and framework at the business and corporate level. 

    Monitor and report on compliance activities: 

    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the compliance program. 
    • Regularly report on compliance activities and metrics to senior management and relevant stakeholders. 
    • Perform periodic audits to ensure and affirm adherence to the corporate compliance program.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams: 

    • Work closely with legal and other relevant teams to ensure alignment of compliance efforts internally and with regulatory bodies and external partners 
    • Provide compliance support and expertise to other departments in the development of new products, services, or processes. 

    Handle compliance incidents and investigations: 

    • Lead investigations into potential compliance breaches and develop appropriate remediation plans. 
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address compliance-related incidents and resolve issues promptly. 

    Engage with regulatory authorities and external partners: 

    • Participate in industry forums and associations to stay informed about emerging compliance trends and practices. 

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field; with at least 6 - 8 years of experience in a similar compliance role within the Tech/Financial services industry/sector. 
    • Thorough knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to the company's operations. 
    • Proven experience in designing and implementing effective corporate compliance programs. 
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify potential compliance risks, determine its impact and develop appropriate mitigation strategies and plan.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization. 
    • Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and guiding them toward compliance objectives. 
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving compliance-related issues. 
    • Experience in managing and reporting on risk management and audit functions.
    • Ability to adapt quickly to and communicate changes in regulatory environments and industry relating to the Helium Health’s diverse business lines. 
    • Ability to utilise strong communication mediums and platforms to disseminate compliance-related information across the organization.
