As the Campus Manager for the Youth in Animation and Post Production Initiative, you will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and coordination of our training program aimed at empowering 60,000 students in animation and post-production over a 5-year period. This role involves overseeing multiple locations, managing online and onsite sessions, and ensuring the inclusion of students with disabilities while maintaining a strong focus on safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve the initiative\'s goal of training 60,000 students in animation and post-production within a 5-year timeframe.
- Oversee the annual 9-month academic calendar, with the first 3 months conducted online and the subsequent 6 months onsite.
- Direct and coordinate activities across multiple locations, including Lagos (mainland and island) and Abuja for the first year, and Enugu in subsequent years.
- Ensure uniform program quality and standards across all locations.
- Implement strategies to cater to students with disabilities, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with instructors and support staff to ensure equal opportunities for all students.
- Prioritize and enforce safeguarding measures to create a secure and protective atmosphere for all students, staff, and stakeholders.
- Manage the provision of free transportation for students commuting to the training centers.
- Oversee the daily distribution of snacks to students during the program.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with educational institutions, industry professionals, and community leaders to enhance program visibility and participation.

Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Execution
- Translate the Foundation’s strategy into operational project plans and execution timelines.
- Oversee day-to-day implementation of all programs and pilots.
- Develop and maintain internal program trackers and shared dashboards.
- Supervise third-party implementation partners and vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery.
Operational Systems & Administration
- Lead documentation, enforcement, and regular audits of SOPs across programs and support functions.
- Coordinate internal workflows, scheduling, and reporting mechanisms.
- Manage procurement, vendor onboarding, and compliance documentation.
- Support the development and implementation of digital systems (e.g., Hubspot, Notion, Trello, Airtable) for internal knowledge management.
Budgeting & Financial Oversight

- Monitor actual spend vs. forecast across program workstreams.
- Ensure financial documentation is complete and audit-ready.
4. Fundraising Support & Donor Readiness
- Coordinate logistics for fundraising-related events, meetings, and workshops.
- Assist with drafting proposals, donor briefs, concept notes, and reporting documents.
- Conduct donor and partner research to support outreach strategy.
- Maintain an organized and accessible library of proposal templates, pitch decks, and presentations.
External Engagement & Event Coordination
- Accompany the Head of Foundation to events, meetings, and site visits as operational support.
- Handle minute-taking, follow-ups, and coordination with external stakeholders.
- Prepare event briefs, pack donor materials, and manage on-the-ground logistics.
- Ensure post-meeting notes and action items are implemented and tracked.
Stakeholder & Partner Coordination
- Serve as liaison between the Foundation and implementation partners.
- Schedule and prepare for recurring check-ins, project reviews, and milestone evaluations.
- Draft meeting summaries, timelines, and partner performance reports.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Development, Public Administration, or related field (Master’s is a plus).
- 5–7 years of experience in program delivery, operations, or grants management within the social impact or development space.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams under pressure.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional grant writer, ecosystem strategist, and relationship-builder who can translate our bold ideas into winning proposals and long-term funding relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Grant Development & Writing
- Develop and submit a minimum of 10 high-quality grant proposals per month, ensuring strategic alignment with LIFE Africa’s focus areas
- Ensure proposal quality reflects strong theory of change, measurable outcomes, budget realism, and alignment with donor priorities
- Maintain a live grant tracker with details on opportunity mapping, deadlines, feedback, and success metrics
- Collaborate with programs, M&E, and finance teams to gather content and budgets for timely submissions
Resource Mobilization Strategy
- Support the implementation of a multi-channel fundraising strategy that includes:
- Institutional donors (foundations, DFIs, multilaterals)
- Corporate social investment partners
- High-net-worth individuals and diaspora giving
Blended finance or catalytic capital (e.g. social impact bonds, challenge funds)
- Innovation-aligned ecosystem partners (e.g. tech accelerators, academic hubs)
- Identify and assess new funding opportunities monthly; maintain a dynamic pipeline of prospects
Donor Relations & Stewardship
- Initiate and manage strategic relationships with local and international funders
- Coordinate donor engagements including meetings, pitch sessions, field visits, and reporting milestones
- Develop compelling funder-facing communication materials including concept notes, capability statements, and quarterly updates
- Support donor compliance, including documentation, co-branding guidelines, and narrative/financial reporting
Knowledge Building & Positioning
- Monitor shifts in the philanthropic and development finance space to inform LIFE Africa’s funding approach
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives (e.g. whitepapers, op-eds, events) to raise the organization’s visibility with funders
- Collaborate with the communications team to align campaigns with funder priorities and storytelling opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor\'s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Public Policy, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree preferred or demonstrable equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in grant writing, resource mobilization, or donor relations within:
- NGOs
- Social enterprises or Corporate institutions
- Philanthropic organizations
- CSR or development agencies
- Proven success in writing and winning large-scale, multi-year grants or sponsorships
- Familiarity with the funding practices of global donors such as Mastercard Foundation, Ford Foundation, Skoll, GIZ, USAID, FCDO, and UN agencies
- Knowledge of trends in African development finance, diaspora giving, gender-lens funding, and skills for employment financing
