Requirements

• Must have experience developing HSE systems for haulage services

Job Description

• Provide support for the implementation of the organization’s logistics policies and processes by participating in planning/ coordinating movement of vehicles.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage vehicular traffic, including loading activities (off-loading and on-loading) to ensure overall orderliness and efficiency of operations.
• Ensure appropriate storage of incoming materials at the designated sites.
• Coordinate loading onto allocated trucks for dispatch to approved locations.
• Ensure that all logistic activities comply with the organisation’s Health, Safety, and Environment standards.
• Develop and submit reports of logistics activities and provide recommendations where necessary.
• To ensure all accident and related documents are collected on time.
• Liaising with Transporters acquiring information on: arrival of trucks, truck breakdown, any other emergencies.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Fleet manager.

Key Requirements
Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in business, logistics, or other related field
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in logistics management.

Job Description

• A Truck Driver, or Transporter, is responsible for transporting goods from one location to another.
• Their job duties include loading their vehicles, abiding by traffic laws and ensuring safe unloading and delivery at their destination.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Long-distance driving
• Communicating and coordinating with fleet officer/manager
• Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
• Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
• Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
• Reporting defects, accidents and violations
• Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
• Loading and unloading box trucks with forklifts and pallet jacks
• Interacting with customers in a professional manner
• Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports
• Recording cargo deliveries
• Verifying loads for accuracy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma - SSCE, NECO or WAEC
• Class G Nigerian driver license.
• Must pass drug and alcohol test.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in truck driving
• Must have clean driving record.
• Must provide a Medical Certificate.
