    Finance Officer

    Job Description

    • Managing a company's financial records, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations, with responsibilities including tasks like bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable management, financial statement preparation, and providing insights to inform strategic decision-making within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities
    Accounting Operations:

    • Maintaining accurate financial records by recording daily transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payroll.
    • Processing invoices and reconciling bank statements.
    • Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
    • Preparing journal entries and posting to the general ledger.

    Financial Reporting:

    • Generating periodic financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Analyzing financial data to identify trends and potential issues.
    • Preparing management reports with insights for decision-making.

    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Developing annual budgets based on company goals and historical data.
    • Monitoring budget performance and identifying areas for cost control.
    • Forecasting future financial performance based on market trends and business strategies.

    Financial Analysis:

    • Performing financial modelling to evaluate investment opportunities and potential risks.
    • Analyzing profitability by product line, customer segment, or geographic region.
    • Identifying areas of cost optimization and efficiency improvement.

    Compliance and Audit Support:

    • Ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
    • Preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
    • Addressing audit findings and implementing corrective actions.

    Requirements

    • BSc in Accounting

    Internal Control Officer

    Job Summary

    • Evaluating and enhancing an organization's internal control system by identifying potential risks, assessing existing control procedures, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, implementing necessary controls to mitigate risks, and providing recommendations for process improvements, ultimately aiming to protect assets, ensure accuracy of records, and promote operational efficiency within the company.

    Key Functions of an Internal Control Role
    Risk Assessment:

    • Identify potential risks across different business functions and operations.
    • Analyze the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks.
    • Prioritize risks based on their severity and likelihood of occurrence.

    Control Evaluation:

    • Review existing control procedures and document their effectiveness in mitigating identified risks.
    • Assess the adequacy of segregation of duties within key processes.
    • Test control activities through sampling methods to verify their functionality.

    Compliance Monitoring:

    • Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
    • Conduct periodic compliance audits to identify areas of non-compliance.
