    Field Assistant - Air Monitoring Technician

    Job Responsibilities
    Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Operate and maintain air pollution and meteorological equipment.
    • Conducting fieldwork activities for projects (e.g. test setup, data collection)
    • Perform basic calculations and computer data entry.
    • Prepare and maintain necessary reports and records as required.
    • Set up equipment or stations to monitor and collect air samples from sites.
    • Collect detailed field notes and photographs to assist with completing reports.
    • Prepare chain of custody for analytical testing, recording survey data in approved forms.
    • Implement EnvironQuest’s health and safety policies and procedures.
    • Travel locally and regionally to project sites.
    • Work off-hours and weekends periodically when required.

    Requirements
    Preferred Qualifications:

    • BSc in Physics, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related fields.
    • Possess Valid Driver's License.

    Environmental Data Analyst I

    Job Responsibilities
    Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Collect data through means such as telecommunications, internet research and database systems
    • Collect data (quantitative and qualitative) pertaining to air quality management.
    • Verify the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data
    • Assemble and prepare charts, graphs, tables and other depictions of data, surveys, and findings
    • Report on analyzed environmental data and present to companies, clients or government agencies
    • Apply testing and statistical analysis to environmental data to produce results
    • Prepare for a variety of data collection topics, including waste and garbage disposal, environmental hazards, ecosystems, energy, water systems, pollution, meteorological, emissions and sustainability
    • Understand environmental regulations, policies and laws and apply them effectively to data sets where applicable

    Requirements
    Qualifications:

    • BSc in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related subject
    • 3-5 years of professional experience

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

    • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities
    • Possess knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information System) and other statistical software
    • Be willing to work occasionally in the field
    • Able to make predictions and recommendations based on the collected information.

    Air Pollution Control Technician - NYSC

    Job Descriptions
    Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Test collected samples in the laboratory using specialized equipment and procedures
    • Set up, calibrate, stock and utilize mobile laboratories in remote locations if required
    • Maintain regular calibration of sampling and/or laboratory equipment
    • Analyze and compare air samples to determine changes or similarities at environmental sites
    • Keep detailed data reports of all sampling information collected

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

    Senior Air Pollution Control Technician

    Job Description
    Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Take scheduled samples of air sampling sites and keep samples clearly labelled
    • Manage sample analysis in the laboratory or send samples to be tested
    • Record accurate sampling observations and data to provide to management
    • Provide training opportunities for staff members on procedures and health and safety
    • Organize sampling data using databases or spreadsheets into periodic reports- daily, weekly, monthly or annual reports
    • Ensure regular and proper calibration on sampling and testing equipment
    • Work with a team of technicians to obtain multiple samples; deploy tasks as needed
    • Oversee large sampling operations and create sampling schedules.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • B.Sc in Chemistry or Environmental Science.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

    • A good understanding of relevant laboratory sample analysis is an added advantage.
    • Thoroughly understanding of various sampling methods and impact on results
    • In-depth understanding of air quality and pollution

    Senior Analytical Chemist / Laboratory Coordinator

    Job Responsibilities
    Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Plan and execute complex analytical and physical chemistry testing following the laboratory SOPs.
    • Manage analysis timelines by using testing expertise, advanced chemical knowledge, statistical tools, logic and creativity to overcome challenges.
    • Prepare and present analytical results to various stakeholders.
    • Identify potential challenges and proactively plan for resolution. Escalate issues to upper management
    • Ensure that all reagents and solutions are prepared according to SOPs.
    • Keep and maintain all laboratory consumable stock.
    • Ensure that equipment is calibrated to confirm accuracy, reliability and precision and all instruments are running properly.
    • Interpret and document all test results including calculations and observations in lab documentation
    • Review peers' analytical data for accuracy and integrity
    • Approve changes to Lab procedures and Specifications
    • Work with environmental scientist team to prioritize samples
    • Ensure Strict compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations
    • Conduct employee coaching/ mentoring as needed to the workgroup
    • Improve technical leadership by training the workgroup, as well as internal business partners and external customers
    • Oversee process improvements and data quality to help the team meet business and scientific benchmarks
    • Motivates and holds our employees accountable against specific performance objectives
    • Maintain lab's accreditation with different bodies and government (e.g. ISO, DPR, FMEnV, NESREA)
    • Identify new technologies and strategies in the fields of environmental chemistry/sampling
    • Manages people and performance daily, acting quickly and decisively.

    Requirements
    Preferred Qualifications:

    • BSc / MSc in Chemistry or related field preferred.
    • 6 - 8 years' experience in laboratory operations preferably in a supervisory role

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

    • Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
    • Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously to meet established deadlines.
    • Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

    Analytical Chemist

    Job Responsibilities
    Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Calibrate equipment for accuracy, reliability and precision

    • Alert the Senior Chemist of unusual test results and problems encountered during analysis.

    Requirements
    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or equivalent
    • 3 - 5 years experience in organic or inorganic analysis using CLP, SW-846 and other EPA methods
    • Experience applying EPA Functional Guidelines for data validation

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

    • Attention to detail and the ability to think critically
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
    • Basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Spreadsheet, Adobe Acrobat)
    • Able to manage analysis timelines
    • Laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation such as GC, GC/MS, GC/FID/ECD
    • Experience in reviewing data from high-resolution GC/MS techniques for light/heavy hydrocarbons
    • Experience in validating data according to the US EPA Functional Guidelines
    • Experience reviewing/validating data from other methods/programs is desirable
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Team player with the flexibility to meet a variety of fluctuating and varied client requirements.
