    Facility Manager – GPP & Estate

    PURPOSE 

    To ensure the efficient functionality of Golden Penny Place and company estates, delivering excellent customer satisfaction while maintaining accommodation for expatriates, visitors, and executive management residences.

    THE JOB

    • Conduct daily facility inspections, identify repair needs, raise requests, and monitor execution.
    • Track and manage maintenance and replacement costs in line with approved budgets.
    • Inspect and certify furniture and equipment to ensure compliance with required standards.
    • Oversee maintenance of office furniture and facility assets.
    • Ensure consistent availability of utilities such as water, toiletries, and waste management supplies.
    • Maintain and update a database of alternative vendors for efficient service delivery at competitive costs.
    • Manage relationships with facility management contractors and janitorial staff.
    • Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely payment processing.
    • Ensure company housing estates and executive residences are well maintained and in good condition.
    • Supervise facility-related projects and maintenance activities.
    • Ensure uninterrupted diesel supply to estates and executive residences.
    • Prepare periodic reports and analysis on facility management activities and performance.

    THE PERSON MUST 

    • Have strong facility management and operational coordination skills.
    • Demonstrate good vendor and stakeholder management ability.

    • Have good financial awareness for cost tracking and control.
    • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    QUALIFICATION

    • First degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 4–6 years’ professional experience in facility management, service delivery, or related roles.

    Supervisor, Silo Maintenance - Mechanical Golden Penny Foods

    PURPOSE ​

    To coordinate, supervise, and ensure effective maintenance of all mechanical systems and equipment within the Silo section, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient wheat intake, storage, and discharge operations. The role is responsible for maximizing equipment availability and integrity through structured preventive and corrective maintenance practices.

    THE JOB

    • Coordinate and supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities within the silo complex to ensure continuous and safe operations.
    • Implement and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for silo equipment, including elevators, conveyors, magnets, drum sieves, classifiers, scales, blowers, aspiration fans, airlocks, diverters, slides, silo sweepers, and augers.
    • Troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical faults promptly to minimize downtime and production losses.
    • Supervise and guide technicians during maintenance activities, ensuring work is executed in line with engineering standards and safety procedures.
    • Conduct routine inspections of silo equipment, maintain accurate maintenance records, and ensure timely completion of job reports.
    • Monitor the condition of critical assets, identify failure trends, and initiate improvement actions to enhance reliability and performance.
    • Collaborate closely with operations and other maintenance teams to support smooth wheat intake and discharge activities.

    THE PERSON MUST 

    • Demonstrate strong awareness and compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, including safe work practices in confined spaces and dusty environments.
    • Possess a basic understanding of wheat intake, conveying, storage, and discharge processes in flour milling operations.
    • Show good supervisory skills, with the ability to coordinate technicians and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Be proactive, organized, and capable of working under operational pressure.

    QUALIFICATION

    • 5 O’ level Credits including English & Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
    • OND in Mechanical Engineering or any related field.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of three (3) years’ mechanical maintenance experience in a bulk material handling, grain handling, or food manufacturing environment.

    Technician - Refrigeration and AC Golden Penny Foods

    PURPOSE ​

    The Air Conditioning Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of all refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC systems across the factory and buildings, to support optimal temperature and humidity control, staff comfort, food safety, and compliance with HSE and environmental standards.

    THE JOB

    • Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspection and cleaning of refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, filters, valves, refrigerant lines and control components.
    • Diagnose and repair faults on refrigeration systems, ventilation equipment and air conditioning units to minimize downtime in a continuous production environment.
    • Monitor and maintain specified temperature and humidity conditions in production areas, control rooms, offices and other critical spaces in line with food safety, HSE and operational requirements.
    • Troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical faults associated with refrigeration and HVAC systems in collaboration with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams.
    • Monitor refrigerant and oil levels and system pressures; carry out leak detection, evacuation, recovery and refrigerant charging in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
    • Conduct daily and weekly checks on cooling systems and respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency call outs to restore systems and prevent production or quality losses.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports and work orders for all refrigeration and HVAC activities.

    THE PERSON MUST 

    • Possess basic practical knowledge of refrigeration, air conditioning, and HVAC systems, including split, window, standing, package, and industrial units.
    • Demonstrate understanding of preventive maintenance activities for refrigeration and AC equipment such as cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and basic adjustments.
    • Be able to support fault diagnosis and repairs on refrigeration, and air‑conditioning systems .
    • Be well organized and capable of responding to breakdowns in a critical production environment

    QUALIFICATION

    • 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
    • NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.

    EXPERIENCE

    Mechanical Technician Golden Penny Foods

    PURPOSE ​

    The Mechanical Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable, safe and efficient operation of mechanical equipment across flour milling and packaging operations. The role involves executing preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and corrective repairs to minimize downtime, support continuous production, and ensure compliance with food safety, mechanical integrity and plant safety standards.

    THE JOB

    •  Carry out planned preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment to minimize breakdowns, including lubrication, alignment, inspection and mechanical adjustments.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical faults, identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
    • Perform mechanical repairs, overhauls and replacement of worn or damaged components as required.
    • Support maintenance of milling, conveying and packing equipment including rollers, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, conveyors, baggers and associated systems.
    • Collaborate with production teams to plan and execute maintenance activities during shutdowns and minimize production downtime.
    • Participate in equipment installation, commissioning and modification activities as required.
    •  Ensure all mechanical works comply with plant safety rules, lock out/tag out procedures and food safety requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs and spare parts usage

    THE PERSON MUST 

    • Have good working knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, rotating equipment, power transmission components and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.
    • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills in an industrial maintenance environment.
    • Show strong awareness of mechanical and machine safety requirements, including LOTO and safe work practices.
    • Understand and comply with food safety and hygiene standards applicable to flour milling operations.

    • Carry our minor electrical installations and corrective maintenance works.
    • Diagnose and repair faults on motors, MCC panels, control circuits, sensors, conveyors, VFDs and associated electrical systems
    • Support electrical maintenance of packing and packaging equipment including baggers, weighers, sealers, palletizers and conveyors
    • Participate in equipment installation, commissioning and calibration activities as  required.
    • Respond promptly to breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize production downtime.

    Instrumentation Technician Golden Penny Foods

    PURPOSE ​

    To install, maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve industrial instrumentation and automation systems across the plant ensuring reliable operations, optimal process control, and improved productivity, efficiency, and product quality. The role provides technical support to plant operators and maintenance teams in resolving automation and instrumentation faults.

    THE JOB

    • Install, maintain, and support industrial automation and instrumentation systems to ensure stable and efficient plant operations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve faults on automation systems, including PLC hardware, I/O modules, field instruments, HMIs, and associated control panels.

    • Practical knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and HMI programming, operation, and implementation.
    • Working knowledge of industrial communication networks such as Profibus, Modbus, AS iBus, CANbus, and Industrial Ethernet
