    Executive Assistant to the CEO

    The Role

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Executive Assistant to support our CEO.
    • In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to the CEO, ensuring seamless coordination of their daily activities and driving efficiency in managing tasks.
    • The ideal candidate is proactive, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and possesses excellent communication skills.
    • This position plays a vital role in supporting Waza’s growth journey.

    •  Calendar Management: Coordinate and manage the CEO's schedule, ensuring all meetings and appointments are organised and optimized for productivity.
    •  Meeting Preparation: Prepare agendas, briefs, and materials for meetings. Attend meetings, take notes, and track follow-ups to ensure action items are completed on time.
    •  Travel Coordination: Arrange travel plans, including booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation, and provide detailed itineraries.
    •  Communication Support: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication. Draft and review emails, presentations, and reports.
    •  Project Assistance: Collaborate on special projects and initiatives, helping the CEO execute key priorities efficiently.
    •  Administrative Duties: Handle expense reporting, document management, and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
    •  Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all company matters and sensitive information.

    What your typical day looks like

    • Your day begins with reviewing the CEO’s calendar and preparing for upcoming meetings.
    • You ensure all materials for the day are in order, attend a strategy meeting to take notes, and follow up on action items.
    • Midday, you might liaise with internal teams to support an ongoing project or coordinate with an external partner for an upcoming event.
    • The day ends with consolidating the CEO’s tasks for the next day and ensuring seamless communication between teams.

    You might be an excellent fit if you have

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.

    Finance Manager

    The Role

    • We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our fast-growing team.
    • The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the company, including accounting, management reporting, financial planning, and risk management, to ensure the company's financial health and compliance.
    • You will play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations and strategy. Your expertise in the Fintech Industry, FX, Crypto and Cross-border payments will be crucial in steering our financial stability, driving informed decision-making and working closely with our Treasury and Sales team to contribute to the company's growth by providing accurate financial insights and driving process improvements

    • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, invoicing, payables, and receivables, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to financial best practices. You are able to record and manage daily financial transactions using accounting software like Quickbooks etc
    • Prepare and present regular financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators, financial trends, and insights to support strategic decision-making.
    • Assist with audits and preparation of year-end financial statements for internal and external use. 
    • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial requirements
    • Develop and maintain budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics in collaboration with cross-functional teams, while ensuring that financial projections align with business objectives.

    What your typical day looks like

    • Taking record of previous and current day's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper categorization.
    • Preparing a concise summary of the company's financial position, including cash balance, outstanding receivables, and payables.
    • Analyze financial trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify potential areas for improvement or concerns.
    • Assess current financial processes and controls, identifying opportunities for streamlining and enhancing efficiency.
    • Collaborate with Treasury, Sales and leadership team to discuss ongoing initiatives, such as optimizing working capital or evaluating potential expansion into new markets.

    You might be an excellent fit if you have

    • A Bachelor's or Master`s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus
    • 3+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with a track record of success in startups, fintech, payments, or other high-growth technology sector.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting. Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • An entrepreneurial-mind with a knack for solving problems and establishing processes.
    • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, Xero) and excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong understanding of the financial industry, with an emphasis on fintech products and services.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders
    • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. Prior experience in the fintech industry or emerging markets is a plus.

    FX Sales Associate

    The Role

    • As a Sales Associate at Waza, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key clients, identifying new business opportunities, and executing strategies to achieve our sales targets.
    • Your keen understanding of fintech, together with your passion for sales, will position Waza as a market leader and contribute to our mission of making it easy for emerging market businesses to make global B2B payments.
    • This role requires a deep understanding of acquiring and retaining business customers, and specific sales experience in FinTech/B2B SaaS.
    • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the FX (and Crypto) payments industry.

    • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads and own the full sales cycle; from leads to successfully onboarded businesses.
    • Negotiate and close deals with clients, achieving monthly and quarterly sales KPIs.

    • Attending client meetings, conferences, seminar, events etc (in-person or virtual) to present Waza's solutions, address concerns, and explore customer needs.
    • Updating the CRM system with details from client meetings and interactions, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date
    • Identifying and documenting new sales strategies and/or other vertical where Waza can maximise it’s revenue
    • Discussing and aligning with management on current sales targets, upcoming opportunities, and any challenges. Sharing insights and updates as they arise
    • The Sales Associate at Waza would have a fast-paced and varied day, focusing on relationship building, sales activities, collaboration with internal teams, and staying on top of industry trends.
    • Flexibility and adaptability would be key as priorities might shift, and unexpected opportunities or challenges might arise.
