    Estimator

    Our client, a leading Printing, Publishing & Packaging company with head office in Lagos, is currently looking to hire a very effective Estimator, who will be responsible for interpret job specification, plan the production of the job as a map before preparing the estimate and preparing the estimate in a profitable, competitive and most economical way.

    Duties:

    • Interpret job specification
    • Plan the production of the job as a map before preparing the Estimate
    • Prepare the Estimate in a profitable, competitive and most economical way considering the company production tools.
    • Advise the client through the Client Service office on the most economical specification where needful.
    • Have independent idea of current market price of print material.
    • Liaise with production team for feedback on actual production flow of job.
    • Generate Quotation Estimate
    • Generate Production Estimate Form.
    • Prepare job bag.
    • Generate Weekly & Monthly report.

    Education / Experience / General Requirements

    • HND / BSc in Printing or in a relevant discipline
    • 5+ years cognate work experience with two years in a large scale commercial printing organization.
    • Ability to interpret a job specification form correctly
    • Knowledge of the print production process of jobs specification
    • Ability to identify machine required for job process 
    • Ability to plan job economically
    • Proficiency in use of Estimating Software
    • Microsoft office tools (MS Word, MS Excel)
    • Team Spirit
    • Ability to work under pressure without making errors
    • Work under less supervision
    • Must possess superior business communication skills. 
    • Natural affinity and passion for details, technical problem solving 
    • Must be a transformational leader; should be able to work with and through people to achieve results.
    • Must be decisive, courageous, with good decision making skills.
    • Gentle but firm in dealing with staff

    IT Programme Manager

    Duties

    • Conduct daily scrum meetings and must have exposure in managing digital apps projects
    • Conduct agile ceremonies (standees, sprint end review, documenting the deliverables, retro inspection of backlog grooming and what we did better / bad)
    • Encouraging the project stakeholders on the benefits of impediment resolution for the folks who are not attending the stand ups.
    • Push for agile adoption culture within the team and the respective stakeholders involved in the success of the project
    • Maintaining sprint board, backlog grooming in Jira (by working with the product management before start of sprint 1 to go ahead with a high end back log)
    • Conduct backlog grooming sessions every 2 to 3 sprints with the product manager
    • Prepare a plan for 2 to 3 sprints in advance for more transparency in the upcoming releases
    • Encourage & ensure need of planned sprint for release and ensuring testers start contributing from day 1 by adding acceptance positive / negative test criteria and code branching & review approach

    Education / Experience / Other Requirements

    • B.Sc / HND in Computer Science, Project Management or related discipline. A good blend of relevant Scrum, Project Management and IT experience will be preferred.
    • A minimum of 7 years relevant experience
    • Ability to manage offshore and on site engineering associates
    • Proficient in tools like Jira, Slack, Microsoft Project Plan and Microsoft Sharepoint
    • Capability of keeping pace with the "shorter cycle to releasesФ and yet being nimble to cater Уjust in timeФ requests, instead of pushing them to backlog / next phase / sprint via release tracking in Jira.
