Role Description

• This full-time English Literature Teacher role is an on-site position located at LEAD BRITISH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, Ibadan.
• The teacher will plan and deliver engaging English Literature lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum, ensuring that students develop strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and instructional materials, teaching classes, assessing student work, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of progress.
• The role also involves creating a supportive classroom environment, integrating appropriate teaching resources, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum and enrichment activities, and participating in school events, meetings, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong English Teaching and Teaching skills, with demonstrated experience instructing English Literature at secondary school level.
• Candidates should possess Lesson Planning and Education skills, including the ability to design curriculum-aligned schemes of work and differentiated lesson plans.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
• A bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, or a related field; a teaching qualification or license is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to use diverse teaching strategies, classroom management techniques, and assessment methods to support varied learning styles.
• Competence in integrating basic educational technology and digital resources into teaching and learning.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a commitment to student wellbeing, inclusive practices, and continuous professional growth.
