Job brief

• We are looking for an electrical engineer who will help us advance our electrical projects, install solar energy systems, maintain solar energy systems, upgrade renewable energy systems/products, and applications.
• Ultimately, you will improve our company’s products and processes and contribute to its growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of renewable energy projects
• Oversight of installation engineers
• Installation, maintenance and management of Solar energy systems
• Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products.
• Develop manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes and standards.
• Manage electrical engineering projects and deliver them on time.
• Define customer needs and requirements.
• Ensure that installations and applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes.
• Perform quality and performance analysis on new and legacy IT systems.
• Summarize data and report on test results.
• Examine needs on new equipment, calculate costs and help prepare budgets.
• Monitor maintenance and inspection plans.

Requirements and skills

• Proven expertise as an electrical engineer
• Proven experience as a solar energy installation person
• Hands-on experience using design and calculation software.
• Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes
• Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards
• Preparation of M&E
• Problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• A degree in Electrical Engineering; MSc is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years field/project work experience.
• Should be staying on the Island.

Job Duties:

• Prepares assets, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
• Maintains financial security by setting up & managing internal controls.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Accomplishes the result by performing the duty.

 Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources

Professional Qualification:

• Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHRi, GPHR) is a plus. Graduation from Law school an added advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years proven experience as HR Officer or related role.
• Expected to have at least 1-year legal practice experience post NYSC
• Proven experience working in HR roles, preferably in a generalist capacity.
