    Electrical Engineer

    Job Summary

    • The Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators ranging from 20kVA and above across client sites, ensures reliable power supply, compliance with safety standards, and minimal downtime.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Install, commission, and test diesel generators (20kVA–500kVA)
    • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
    • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in generators, control panels, ATS/AMF systems.
    • Perform load testing, performance checks, and system inspections
    • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
    • Ensure compliance with HSE, company policies, and Nigerian electrical standards.
    • Provide technical support to clients and respond to emergency breakdowns.
    • Work closely with mechanical engineers and field technicians.

    Requirements

    • Trade Test Certificate, OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
    • Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience working with a reputable generator servicing or power solutions company.
    • Strong knowledge of diesel generators, engines, and mechanical systems.
    • Experience in field service engineering is an added advantage.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

    Engineer on Bike

    Job Summary

    • Mikano International Limited is seeking a skilled and proactive Engineer on Bike to join our Field Service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing diesel generators and related mechanical equipment at customer locations.
    • This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to provide prompt and professional technical support.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs on diesel generators and related equipment.
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
    • Conduct routine inspections and identify potential mechanical issues before they lead to equipment failure.
    • Respond promptly to field service calls and customer breakdown requests.
    • Prepare accurate service reports, repair logs, and maintenance documentation.
    • Communicate equipment faults, repair recommendations, and maintenance requirements to customers.
    • Provide cost estimates and repair quotations where required.
    • Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and assigned motorcycle in good working condition.
    • Ensure proper storage and handling of tools and equipment after use.
    • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
    • Comply with all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
    • Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
