• As a screen printer, you will be responsible for creating the printing design pattern, mixing the correct ink colors, loading the screen onto the printer, producing the final printed articles, and cleaning the machine after use.

Duties

• Receiving work order jobs for screen printing.
• Examining work orders to determine estimated printing times, ink, and material quantities.
• Designing screen patterns according to customer specifications.
• Selecting screen size, de-greasing agents, and emulsion coatings.
• Loading screens into the printer.
• Installing and repositioning screen printing plates and pressure roles.
• Calibrating printer before the batch is printed.
• Running prints and performing quality checks throughout the printing process.
• Troubleshooting problems as they arise.
• Drying, folding, and packing completed articles after the run

Requirements

• Secondary School certificate.
• Previous work experience as a screen printer.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• High level of creative and artistic skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work with ink and chemicals every day.

• As a Tailor, your duties include constructing, modifying, altering, and repairing garments for our clients. You should also help customers in selecting the type of material as well as the design for the clothing

Duties

• Measuring clients, taking body measurements, and recording vital statistics for use in creating clothing designs
• Creating patterns using computer software or hand drafting methods
• Using software to create custom patterns based on measurements taken from a client or standard sizes provided by a designer
• Demonstrating how to use fabrics and detailing the care instructions so that customers know how to properly maintain the garment
• Reviewing samples of fabrics from suppliers, testing fabric quality and colorfastness, and selecting the best materials for garments based on cost, durability, appearance, and comfort
• Drafting patterns for suits, dresses, shirts, pants, and other garments using computer-assisted design (CAD) equipment or traditional methods such as paper and pencil
• Making small alterations to existing garments such as shortening waistlines or sleeves
• Recommending fabric types and patterns that will flatter a customer’s figure and lifestyle needs

Requirements

• Minimum of Secondary School Leaving Certificate
• 3-5 years of supervising a group of tailors at a garment factory.
• Sewing skills and knowledge of tailoring techniques.
• Knowledge of a range of sewing equipment.
• Understanding of garment construction, and pattern-making skills.
