    Drilling Engineer / Specialist I

    Main Functions

    • Provide the engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up required for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs.
    • Ensure well objectives are met while assuring the highest standards of engineeringintegrity, safety, and environmental protection are applied.

    Tasks and Responsibilities
    Responsible for the engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up required for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs; responsibilities include:

    • Research and understand drill well hazards by reviewing historical offset well information
    • Utilize wellbore geologic and reservoir objectives to develop a well plan
    • Prepare cost estimates for well design options
    • Identify and organize equipment required to execute the drill well plan inclusive of material selection
    • Design wells to meet regulatory requirements
    • Prepare and analyze technical bids for goods and services
    • Survey daily operations
    • Provide rig site drilling and completion surveillance and engineering assessments of critical activities
    • Provide surveillance and technical assistance for projects, equipment testing and new procedures
    • Interface with and solicit input from operations personnel to ensure well plans are feasible
    • Work closely with other functions, such as geology, reservoir and projects, to ensure that the program is based on all available information and meets well objectives
    • Depending on the program, deep water experience may be required (knowledge of subsea systems,
    • riser analysis, subsea well control systems, etc.)

    Skills and Qualifications

    • B.S. degree in engineering or related technical field
    • Experience in deep water drilling operations if filling a deep water drilling engineering position
    • Able to effectively organize and communicate thoughts
    • Experience with well design software as well as Microsoft applications
    • Read, write and speak fluent English
    • Industry experience with well planning and execution
    • Local and regional offshore experience
    • Legacy MPN experience is an advantage

    Mechanical Technician I

    Location: Offshore Platform, Akwa Ibom

    Main Functions

    • Technicians are assigned to carry out maintenance work.
    • This can either be a Company (XOM) employee or a Contractor resource.
    • Typically reports to a supervisor.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Actively participate in the use of all on-the-job safety tools
    • Review job packs
    • Identify any safety issues associated with the job end and ensure removal/mitigation prior to working
    • Execute work as planned
    • Record technical history as required by workgroup. (Global Reliability Tool (GRT), data sheet, etc.)
    • Provide feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS
    • Request permits and notify Supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Discipline appropriate certification(s) if applicable or equivalent professional experience
    • Effective communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely describe conditions in the field and recommend remediation steps
    • Team Player; exhibits effective teamwork when working with persons over whom the person may have no direct authority and willingness to assist others
    • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.

    Marine Advisor I

    Main Functions

    • Works to assure the safe and efficient turnaround of gas carriers and condensate tankers.
    • This will include assisting with the management and oversight of all associated critical contractors including tug, and port services providers.

    Task and Responsibilities
    In addition to all Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, Level 2:

    • Advising on pre-job planning and writing procedures
    • Performing Risk Assessment
    • Being the client field representative offshore on marine activities advising Lead Drilling Supervisor or
    • Completion Supervisor i.e. D&C PIC.
    • Conduct post job debrief and submit post job report.
    • Conduct rig move activities

    Skills and Qualifications

    • University Degree required
    • Have led a minimum of 10 (ten) Jack Up rig moves at platform operations
    • Prior marine experience as a senior officer position - required
    • Master Mariners license - required
    • Experience in the company operations organization – preferred
    • Have experience in performing rig inspection for marine related equipment.
    • Candidates without the above requirements will be considered, dependent on experience.
    • Strong culture of ‘Nobody Gets Hurt’
    • Expert knowledge of current large tanker applied mooring operations and best practices
    • Strong knowledge of applied Operations Integrity Systems, specifically oi 8-1

    Specific Requirements:

    • Prior marine experience as a senior officer position - required

    Field Operator I

    Main Function

    • Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet daily operational plan, reduce equipment failure and efficient resources administration

    Task and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for implementing on daily work objectives, housekeeping, safety, health, environmental and security
    • Active participation in daily toolbox meetings and regular, reported safety meetings
    • Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions by continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient and safe operational conditions
    • Function as Equipment Care Technician, and routinely use Maintenance skills in performing simple maintenance activities
    • Report when the alarm, emergency or emergency shutdown system is out of service
    • Provide detailed, clear and accurate information when changing shifts, to guarantee that unit conditions are updated and ensure operational continuity
    • Coordinate, control and monitor maintenance jobs according with the corrective, predictive and preventive planning
    • Report continuously in the log book all relevant operational events and abnormal situations, or deviations that occur in the work area, equipment or personnel
    • Take samples of products for laboratory analysis and execute field laboratory tests
    • Active participation in emergency response activities
    • Report incidents internally and escalate awareness as per the Incident Reporting Guidelines
    • Ensure that the Operations Shift Supervisor is informed and consulted about operations activities
    • Ensure good communication across the work team so that issues/actions can be adequately addressed
    • Provide the basic facts concerning well-producing problems, current production rates, and the current condition of the well
    • Ensure that the well problem diagnostics are thorough and complete before requesting Well Work intervention operations
    • Ensure that the wellhead and well surface equipment are maintained and are in good working order prior to
    • Wellwork operations are taking over responsibility for the well for intervention operations
    • Provide assistance and support to the ongoing Wellwork operations as needed.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Completed secondary education and worked previously as a Field Technician.
    • Strong communications (oral & written)
    • High standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others.
    • Strong knowledge of pipeline operations
    • Strong knowledge of safety and operations management tools and processes
    • Broad knowledge of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
    • Strong knowledge of Project Philosophy and Design Specifications
    • Knowledgeable of relevant regulations
    • Knowledgeable of relevant commercial agreements

    Specific Requirements:

    • Minimum of 18 months working experience as a deck officer on a Tanker vessel or FSO/FPSO.

    Engineering - Marine Lead I

    Job Description

    • Maintain/build/apply competency in specific area of Marine supervision and champion development of nationals.
    • Identify and assist in resolving Marine Advisor resource gaps in Function.
    • Steward the development of core competencies in Marine discipline.
    • Administer personnel resources in Marine discipline. Responsible for NPO marine vessel safety.
    • Provide expert Marine consultation to function and project teams.
    • Provide technical leadership for vulnerability and risk assessments. Coordinate interface with JVO Marine Dept., EMDC and NPO organizations.
    • Assures accurate and timely communication among the team and other company Functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues.
    • In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Provide Marine input to concept selection and contract strategy.
    • Supervise and coordinate Marine resources
    • Support Construction Superintendent / Discipline Leads (On-Vessel Management) 
    • Participate in Risk Assessments and pre-mobilization reviews 
    • Provide expert Marine consultation to function and project teams
    • Develop and maintain common (NPO, JVO Marine & EMDC) marine vessel procedures, processes, systems and tools, and specifications / vessel requirements
    • Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products
    • Coordination and communication of various issues among the company's and contractor's engineering team that affect the discipline engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance of the work
    • Evaluate / comment work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to insure that the work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Includes review of discipline design drawings and documents
    • Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure that such deviations will be processed according to Company procedures; maintains Deviation Control Log.
    • Steward discipline engineering queries from the Contractor and sub-contractors as well as technical information requests
    • Keep Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of discipline engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns
    • Participate in discipline engineering reviews at Contractor's and subcontractor's locations
    • Drives and promotes capital efficiency in engineering design
    • Support internal engineering general interest or Global Practice initiatives as requested by Supervisor.

    Skills and qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marine or Civil Engineering or related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience
    • Broad and extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
    • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
    • Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications.

    Operations (Gen) - Lifting Equipment Operator III

    Responsibilities

    • Operates cranes and performs rigging activities to assist maintenance, production, construction, and safety crews as required.
    • Loads and unloads material and equipment in accordance with the Company’s specific lifting procedures, including movement of material to the proper locations.
    • Carries out all lifting operations in accordance with safety rules and company regulations.
    • Performs general inspection of cranes before operating, including checking the condition of wire ropes, brake system, bolts, pins, and similar items, and reports any potential defect or malfunction to the Logistics Supervisor.
    • Responsible for the safety of personnel and equipment during operations.
    • Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable in the position.
    • This position would typically be an expert in the field, possibly a professional certification holder.

    Requirements

    • Twelfth grade (12) secondary education or equivalent certificate plus prior special training on crane operations
    • Experience in operating cranes
    • Must have current crane operator certificate.
    • Release Comments: C4C to close Oct 8.
