    Contracts Engineer/Administrator

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    • To ensure that the contract conditions for all projects meet clients’ needs by developing, implementing, and reviewing contracts and ensuring that best practices are followed on any particular project, and making all updates available to all project participants.

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Following a thorough and systematic approach in managing contractual matters between company and contractor and preparing commercial and contractual correspondence during the implementation of the contracts 
    •  Ensuring tracking systems are maintained for all contractual correspondence 
    •  Ensuring accurate and comprehensive Contract records and reports are produced and maintained for Site Instructions, Contract Change Requests, Contracts Changes (actual and foreseen), and any supporting communications or documentation. 
    •  Liaise with PM and in order to prepare, negotiate and ensure execution of all Variation Orders with clients and subcontractors 
    •  Providing commercial and contractual advice to Project Management Team.  Assisting in the preparation of all invoices to client in accordance with contract terms and manage the process ensuring timely payments 
    • Attending periodic (weekly) progress meetings, and ensure that the minutes reflect an unbiased record of the discussions and issues addressed. 
    • Reviewing and verifying Contractor's Monthly Progress Reports before issue to Client. 
    •  Assisting in evaluation of Contractor's contractual claims, and recommendations for financial settlement. 
    • Assisting the settlement of the Contract Final Account. 
    • Assisting in processing insurance claims and vendor back charges with the appropriate Company department. 
    • Supporting in any insurance related matters concerning loss or damage. 
    • Supporting and monitoring Company free issued equipment and material from Client and to subcontractor and potential results of late (or early) delivery. 
    • Supporting and monitoring Company issued Technical Information, including IFC drawings, specifications and any revisions, to Client and subcontractor and potential contractual or commercial results of late delivery. 

    Job Requirement

    • Degree in LL.B., BA, BSc, MSc or similar.
    • Good working knowledge of legal interpretation of contracts, particularly project related contracts with intricate liability and insurance regimes.
    • Member of the RICS/NIOS/NSE or equivalent.
    • 8 years+ in contract management in the oil and gas industry.
    • Preference for experience in Nigerian oil and gas offshore project environment

    Senior Project Cost Controller

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    • Controlling the project costs; which includes planning, developing, reporting, monitoring of milestone progress and forecasting the project’s budget, and cost saving measures

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensuring timely provision of accurate and complete financial and planning information to Project Managers. 
    • Identification of currency risks (exchange rate) and establishment of suitable measures. 
    • Identification of tax risks and establishment of suitable measures. 
    • Verifying costs with vendors and suppliers, estimating expenditures, and recommending cost-saving measures to the Project Manager. 
    • Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded. 
    • Maintain close interface with Accounts department and PMT 
    • Responsible for ensuring that all supporting documentation for Project WBS, Project Milestones, Change Orders, Variations, etc. are generated at the point of execution and keeping records of same for invoicing or future PMT use. 
    • Responsible for initiating Project Invoices, collating supporting documentation and follow-up with Client to ensure timely payment. 
    • Review subcontractor invoices and supporting documents for accuracy and follow-up payment as per respective subcontract agreements. 
    • Financial control of projects 
    • Review tender information and establish project budget 
    • Timely and accurate reporting of cost, revenues and result 
    • Controlling project budget against actual and forecast, including variance analysis 
    • Identification and control of financial risks, establishing financial impact of variations, and controlling variation orders, including variance analysis
    • Assistance in preparation of financial chapter of close out report 
    • Ensuring maintenance of database of financial statistics 
    • Ensuring compliance of financial reports to company standards and project requirements . 

    Job Requirement

    • BSc preferably in accounting or Business Economics, Finance/Engineering etc.
    • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred ICAN or similar.
    • Cost control courses are commendable.
    • 10 - 12 years’ minimum experience in financial project environment in international contracting business.
    • Able to generate budgets and reports
    • Proficiency in use of MS Office and accounting software
    • Proficiency in use of SAP

    Senior Structural Engineer

    JOB OBJECTIVE:

    • Provide structural support for tenders and offshore projects, and provide specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in key areas of structural engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements and current good engineering practice.

    Key Functional/Technical responsibilities

    • Provide structural stability and integrity calculations for subsea structures.
    • Design to resist forces for in-service, installation and transportation load conditions. Determination of size, shape, strength, and type of structural members.
    • Production and checking of design documentation including feasibility reports, detailed design reports, equipment specifications etc.
    • Production of specifications, data sheets and MTOs
    • Coordinate structural engineering support to the execution of multi-discipline projects in line with defined budget and schedule
    • Provide specialist structural engineering assistance during occasional periods of offshore or site working
    • Contribute as required to events such as Bid Clarifications, Kickoff meetings, Design Reviews, etc.
    • Perform concept and detail design of offshore fit for purpose lifting arrangements and steel structures, such as lifting appliances, lift points, lift arrangements and grillage and sea fastening;
    • Perform structural strength verification analyses, including advanced non-linear Finite Element Analysis, by use of software packages such as SACS;
    • Review structural deliverables (construction reports and drawings);
    • Perform quality control on deliverables prepared by colleagues;
    • Timely completion of all engineering deliverables assigned within the Project.
    • Provide engineering support during execution phase of the project (fabrication, offshore).
    • Adherence to Company Management System (CMS) as applicable.
    • Make calculations about pressures, loads, and stresses.
    • Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately.
    • Ensure that contractual specifications, codes and standards are followed in project execution in accordance with contractual, legislative, regulatory, company and commercial requirements.
    • Inputs into methods for fabrication, transportation, construction and installation.

    HSSE Responsibilities

    • Ensure visible commitment to HSE and stimulate a high level of HSE awareness on the Project;
    • Ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management are implemented and maintained.

    QA/QC Responsibilities

    • Review all calculations and analysis performed by Structural Engineers
    • Review of applicable engineering deliverables.

    Job Requirement

    • Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
    • Relevant software and offshore training.
    • Strong engineering design experience.
    • Professionally registered with the Institute of structural engineers.
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in offshore engineering, of which at least 7 years in engineering design.
