Project Scope The project will cover the development of a comprehensive Manual on Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution. The Manual must be context and culturally appropriate, and act as a training guide for the delivery of training sessions for various categories of beneficiaries that include youths, women, government stakeholders, community leaders, security services, vigilante groups, associations and other relevant stakeholders. Priority in the manual must be given to content that explains in detail (including the use of case studies, e.t.c.) the key skills used in promoting peace building and conflict mitigation or prevention. The manual will also serve as a practical guide which can be used during train-the-trainer programmes.
The selected Consultant will provide skills development and empowerment support to three hundred (300) beneficiaries in LGAs (namely Damboa,
Jere, and Maiduguri) in Borno State. The planned support will take the form of technical and practical skills training aimed at developing the capacity of participants to engage in modern agricultural practices and build small- scale farms, under a cooperative business model. The successful Consultant must demonstrate a methodology for measuring the impact of the project as well as a sustainability plan.
The service to be delivered is detailed in the attached schedule. The services will be delivered over a maximum of 180 days
The Consultant will provide skills development and economic empowerment support to seven hundred and fifty (750) beneficiaries in LGAs (namely Bama,
Damboa and Maiduguri) in Borno State. The planned support will take the form of technical and practical skills training aimed at developing the capacity of
participants to engage in the local construction industry as bricklayers, plumbers and carpenters. The objective of this project is to create a pool of
well-trained artisans with the skills to support post conflict reconstruction efforts in Borno state and establish small-scale businesses, under the cooperative
business model. The successful Consultant must demonstrate a methodology for measuring the impact of the project as well as a sustainability plan.
