    Compensation & Benefits Specialist

    About the job

    • The Compensation & Benefits Specialist will manage and continuously improve the organization’s compensation, benefits, and payroll-related processes to support fair, competitive, and compliant reward outcomes. The role requires a highly analytical professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to translate workforce data into actionable insights.
    • The role will also support performance management processes to ensure strong alignment between pay, performance outcomes, and organizational objectives.

    Primary Responsibilities - Compensation & Benefits

    • Design, implement, and continuously improve compensation structures and reward frameworks to attract, retain, and reward high-performing employees.
    • Oversee payroll operations ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of employee salaries, allowances, deductions, and statutory payments.
    • Conduct regular salary benchmarking and market surveys to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
    • Perform detailed compensation analysis, including pay equity reviews, merit increase modeling, and cost impact analysis.
    • Manage bi-annual salary review cycles, bonuses, allowances, and other variable pay programs.
    • Administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, leave allowances, pensions, 13th month payments, etc.).
    • Ensure compensation and benefits programs comply with labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
    • Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and insights for HR leadership and management.

    Secondary Responsibilities - Compensation & Benefits

    • Support the design and administration of performance management cycles (goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals).
    • Analyze performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Use performance outcomes to support fair and data-driven compensation decisions, including merit increases, bonuses, and rewards.
    • Provide analytical support for talent reviews and workforce planning discussions.

    Academic Qualification & Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or a related business discipline.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in Compensation & Benefits, with demonstrable exposure to performance Management.
    • Hands-on experience working with HR data and payroll.

    Financial Reporting Accountant

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, deep understanding of IFRS, and hands-on experience reporting within a SEC and/or CBN-regulated entity such as an asset management firm, finance company, microfinance bank, or regulated fintech.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial statements for the entities.
    • Lead regulatory reporting, including SEC/CBN returns and compliance filings.
    • Monitor and interpret regulatory circulars, guidelines, and reporting updates affecting financial reporting.
    • Coordinate external/internal audits and ensure timely closure of audit issues.
    • Produce management accounts, performance insights, and variance analyses.
    • Support capital management activities, prudential ratios, and risk reporting.
    • Work with technology and operations teams to improve finance systems, reporting automation, and process efficiency.
    • Strengthen internal controls, treasury oversight, and financial reporting systems.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • ACA/ACCA qualification is an added advantage.
    • 5–7 years relevant experience, including 3+ years in a SEC/CBN-regulated institution.
    • Strong knowledge of IFRS, prudential guidelines, and statutory reporting.
    • Proficiency in ERP/financial systems and advanced Excel.
