Job Summary

• We are seeking a trained health professional to provide dedicated care and support to an elderly male. The preferred candidate should be a Registered Nurse, Auxiliary Nurse or similarly qualified healthcare professional with practical experience in elderly or home-based care.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the elderly person’s health, supporting his daily activities, administering or assisting with prescribed medication and promptly identifying any changes that may require medical attention.
• This is a professional healthcare and caregiving position, not a general domestic-help role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional, compassionate and respectful care to the elderly person.
• Monitor and record basic vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse and blood sugar levels, where required.
• Administer or assist with prescribed medications strictly according to medical instructions and within the candidate’s professional scope.
• Maintain an accurate schedule and record of medications, meals, medical observations and daily activities.
• Provide mobility support where necessary and help prevent falls or injuries.
• Promptly report unusual symptoms, behavioural changes or medical concerns to the family or attending doctor.
• Accompany the elderly person to medical appointments and communicate relevant observations to healthcare providers.
• Assist with prescribed exercises, mobility routines or rehabilitation activities.
• Keep the patient’s immediate environment and medical equipment clean and properly organised.
• Provide basic first aid and respond appropriately during emergencies.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the individual’s health and the family’s private affairs.
• Perform other healthcare and caregiving duties reasonably assigned by the family.

Requirements

• Must possess a recognised nursing or healthcare qualification.
• A Registered Nurse, Auxiliary Nurse or qualified Nursing Assistant is strongly preferred.
• Registered Nurses must possess a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria practising licence.
• Auxiliary Nurses or Nursing Assistants must possess verifiable training or certification from a recognised healthcare institution.
• Minimum of three years of practical experience in nursing, elderly care, home care or a related healthcare role.
• Previous experience caring for elderly persons with age-related medical conditions will be an advantage.
• Patient, compassionate, observant and emotionally mature.
• Physically fit and able to provide mobility assistance when necessary.
• Good spoken and written communication skills.
• Must provide verifiable employment references and guarantors.

• We are seeking an experienced, hygienic and dependable Cook who can prepare tasty and nutritious meals.
• The successful candidate should be skilled in preparing a wide variety of Nigerian disheswhile maintaining excellent food-safety and kitchen-hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and other meals as required.
• Prepare a variety of Nigerian dishes and selected continental meals.
• Develop suitable meal plans in consultation with the employer.
• Prepare meals according to individual preferences and dietary requirements.
• Prepare shopping lists and monitor the availability of food ingredients and kitchen supplies.
• Ensure proper portioning and minimise food waste.
• Store food items correctly and monitor expiry dates.
• Maintain a clean and properly organised kitchen.
• Wash and properly store cooking utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Observe high standards of personal hygiene and food safety.
• Inform the employer promptly when ingredients or kitchen supplies need to be replaced.
• Perform other cooking-related duties assigned by the employer.

Requirements

• Minimum of an SSCE, GCE, NECO or equivalent qualification.
• A certificate in catering, hospitality or culinary arts would be an advantage.
• At least two years of verifiable experience as a Cook in a private residence, restaurant, hotel, catering company or similar environment.
• Strong ability to prepare different Nigerian meals.
• Ability to prepare basic continental dishes will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, storage and kitchen safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and accommodate dietary preferences.
• Honest, punctual, organised and able to work with minimal supervision.
