    Production Supervisor

    For one of our clients, an international oil & gas operating company, we are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to work offshore Nigeria on a rotational basis.

    Job objectives:
    • To organise, coordinate and supervise operations and maintenance activities offshore. 
    • To manage and control the Production Department to ensure safe and efficient functioning of all process facilities and operations. 
    • To complete all other assignments as may be assigned by the OIM
    Key responsibilities:

    1.    Manage and control the operations department to ensure safe and efficient functioning of all process facilities and operations
    2.    Responsible for operation, condition monitoring and troubleshooting of process plant, CCR, relevant utility systems and equipment. Knowledge of ICSS / SCADA / DCS is an advantage
    3.    Responsible for operation of safety control systems
    4.    Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting of turret/ swivel equipment
    5.    Responsible for process plant and equipment start-up and shut down operations
    6.    Responsible for meeting of production objectives
    7.    Responsible for optimization of chemicals consumption
    8.    Responsible for planning of operations maintenance activities
    9.    Responsible for first line and preventive maintenance of process and relevant utility systems as per Computerised Maintenance Management System

    20.    Ensure the Permit To Work system is controlled and adhered to as per requirements of the system
    21.    Responsible for the relevant risk assessments and job safety analyses
    22.    Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Review information in database to ensure it is technically valid, accurate and up to date
    23.    Maintain appropriate documentation;
    24.    Ensure that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively
    25.    Undertake training relevant to the position requirements
    26.    Responsible for the training of subordinates and trainees

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in oil and gas operations and maintenance, at least 8 years of offshore oil and gas experience on production platforms at supervisory level
    • Multi-skills and knowledge of ICSS / SCADA / DCS is a prerequisite
    • A good understanding of the relevant codes and standards for production operations is a prerequisite.
    • Fluent spoken and written English
    • Strong interpersonal skills are essential, for dealing with a broad spectrum of cultural and organisational styles, as well as being able to fit in as a team player
    • Fit and fully mobile, so as to maintain the supervision at the various locations where activities related to the work will be carried out

    Production Chemist

    For one of our clients, an international oil & gas operating company, we are currently seeking a Production Chemist to work offshore Nigeria on a rotational basis

    Job objective:
    To ensure that production and laboratory chemicals are efficiently utilised in the field. To identify wells with increasing scaling, foaming, sanding, and corrosion tendencies through onsite field analysis. To ensure that all chemical injection pumps, sight glasses and other equipment used in delivering production chemicals are in good working condition.

    Key responsibilities:

    • To monitor closely the efficiency and effectiveness of field laboratories.
    • Provide updated laboratory procedures
    • Receive and analyse daily report from the fields ie sand measurement, crude and water analysis
    • Interface daily with Purchasing and Logistics on the maintenance of min-max levels for the fields.Raise Proactis requests as and when required
    • Monitor and keep a checklist of the stock of chemical injection pump, spares and reporting the stock status on weekly basis
    • Collate water injection treatment reports and monitor treatment performance
    • Implementation of chemical related programmes e.g Chemical treatment during pigging activity, scale capsule application, injectivity improvement of water injectors
    • To participate actively in field trials thus ensuring that optimum chemical rates are being used in the fields.
    • Frequently visit the field to ensure that standard procedures are being followed in all laboratory tests and measurements.
    • To raise the awareness of staff to the need for correct application of various chemicals and maintain MSDS of chemical products on locations
    • Carry out onsite field analysis and checks on scaling tendencies, corrosion rates, plugging index, and level of bacteria activity.  
    • Liaise with external laboratory for confirmatory tests on crude assay, gas, water grain distribution analysis. etc

    Requirements

    • B.Sc Applied Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering discipline
    • Minimum of 3-5 years in the Upstream Oil and Gas industry, with at least 3 years in a similar position with an operating company.
    • A very good knowledge of oilfield chemistry and the applications and uses of generic chemicals 
    • A good understanding of the relevant codes and standards and MSDS is a prerequisite.
    • Fluent spoken and written English.

    Offshore Installations Manager (OIM)

    Job Objective/ Purpose of Job:    

    • To supervise and coordinate the execution of offshore operations and maintenance activities and ensure the production of oil is within specifications. 
    • Lead offshore team operations team of FSO, facility and monitor use/operation of field support vessels.
    • Manage on site HSE, offshore production and maintenance activities.

    Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
    1.    Implement safety case for operations, onsite leadership of HSE and process equipment integrity 
    2.    Ensure maintenance /operations carried out under his field of responsibility are carried out in strict accordance to Addax safety and PTW policies.
    3.    Monitor and implement maintenance management processes.
    4.    Ensure adherence with operational assurance programme
    5.    Deliver 90 day to 1 year field performance ( HSE, production, Opex, marine etc)
    6.    Maintain a flexible and positive attitude, especially with regard to the working environment and highly focused safety and security procedures
    7.    Ensure all permits to work are in place.
    8.    Prepare project close out and “lessons learnt” reports.
    9.    Implement operations HSE Plans, conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance
    10.     Develop Procedures, Scope of Work, and Method Statements as may be required.
    11.    Ensure that adequate records are maintained for all inspection and testing carried out.
    12.    Participate in all pre- commissioning activities.
    13.    Will be responsible for execution of platform and pipeline operations 

    Key Performance Indicators/ Performance Goals:
    •    Zero LTI’s
    •    Production deferments as % of total production potential
    •    Cost performance against budget
    •    Manpower utilisation(BOPD/man/day)

    Experience    Minimum of 15 years in the Oil and Gas industry with marine experience with at least 5 years in a similar position with an operating company, Nigerian / West African experience preferred.
    Age    35+

    Field Advisor (Offshore)

    Job Objective/ Purpose of Job:    

    • To coordinate the safe execution of Production operation activities of the offshore assets as a single cohesive team
    • To ensure that company production targets are met and export quality crude is produced on the facilities. 
    • The incumbent will also stand in for the client OIM.  
    • To complete all other assignments as may be assigned by Supervisor

    Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
    1.    Work closely with OIM and provide regular advice and feedback on operations. Develop personal and work skills to be able to perform the role of OIM.
    2.    Execute activities with work force to produce export quality crude in line with company production forecasts
    3.    Collate good, reliable data from various production sources and analyse for trends and fluctuations and provide necessary advice to OIM
    4.    Maintain good knowledge of producing assets by frequent visits to fixed installation (s)
    5.    Work with OIM to identify and put in place training for all staff within the field operation and ensure HSE awareness and safety culture is developed and continually enhanced 
    6.    Provide advice regarding debottlenecking activities 
    7.    Propose plant modifications required to enhance field performance  
    9.    Ensure maintenance /operations/SIMOPS carried out under his field of responsibility are carried out in strict accordance to client safety and PTW policies.
    10.    Ensure adherence with operational assurance programme
