For one of our clients, an international oil & gas operating company, we are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to work offshore Nigeria on a rotational basis.
Job objectives:
- To organise, coordinate and supervise operations and maintenance activities offshore.
- To manage and control the Production Department to ensure safe and efficient functioning of all process facilities and operations.
- To complete all other assignments as may be assigned by the OIM
Key responsibilities:1. Manage and control the operations department to ensure safe and efficient functioning of all process facilities and operations
2. Responsible for operation, condition monitoring and troubleshooting of process plant, CCR, relevant utility systems and equipment. Knowledge of ICSS / SCADA / DCS is an advantage
3. Responsible for operation of safety control systems
4. Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting of turret/ swivel equipment
5. Responsible for process plant and equipment start-up and shut down operations
6. Responsible for meeting of production objectives
7. Responsible for optimization of chemicals consumption
8. Responsible for planning of operations maintenance activities
9. Responsible for first line and preventive maintenance of process and relevant utility systems as per Computerised Maintenance Management System
10. Administer process plant and relevant utility systems modifications requests under management of change (MOC) procedure
11. Responsible for maintaining process plant discharges and emissions within the limits
12. Develop and revise procedures and standing instructions for the production department
13. Ensure regulatory and class requirements are adhered to
14. Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning
15. Prepare budget and control expenditure
16. Responsible for sufficient stock of relevant consumables
17. Responsible for control of hazardous substances that are used/ stored within production department
18. Liaise with OIM and other department heads for planning of maintenance and operation activities
19. Participate in the investigation of accidents and incidents. Administrate Company reporting system report
20. Ensure the Permit To Work system is controlled and adhered to as per requirements of the system
21. Responsible for the relevant risk assessments and job safety analyses
22. Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Review information in database to ensure it is technically valid, accurate and up to date
23. Maintain appropriate documentation;
24. Ensure that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively
25. Undertake training relevant to the position requirements
26. Responsible for the training of subordinates and trainees
27. Responsible for competency assessment and performance evaluation of subordinates
