Role Purpose

• Conceptualize and plan civil work projects for Ikeja Electric.

Responsibilities

• Design civil drawings for augmentation proposals
• Assist in preparing annual capital budget for works department
• Assist in preparing scheme for infrastructure project(s) along with cost estimates and submit for approval.
• Standardize layout for grids and items for various renovation works.
• Prepare and ensure timely submission of weekly, monthly and annual report.
• Identify the project needs based on available data on the database and observations, from load forecasting and network analysis exercises
• Design the risk management plan for all types of investments - identify different types of risks for the projects and suggest possible action steps to neutralize them.
• Co-ordinate with other concerned departments to ensure smooth execution of the projects
• Ensure time to time monitoring of work right from approval of vendor document, drawings, related to work – monitor the physical/financial progress, supervise progress report preparation etc.
• Process inspection of materials / equipment by the respective departments
• Look into the civil aspects of DPR and assists the Head Works in preparing detailed project report for these projects which are decided at the top management for organization-wide implementation, besides other activities
• Provide support in tendering & selection of agencies on civil works projects.
• Study and review the documents/drawings/technical papers sent by site personnel.
• Check different civil drawing and records comments; clear the detailed project report for the proposal after checking and verification of specifications and estimations.
• Visit the project sites regularly as demanded/ required by work progress to assess actual physical/financial progress of the projects.
• Ensure provision of adequate resources for various activities of the department
• Identify training needs of officials and arrange to provide the same.
• Comply with Quality Management System / Occupational Health & Safety requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs
• Assist in Carry out any other duties as requested by the Head of Department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering field (Electricity/Civil Engineering)
• Master's Degree in related Engineering field (Electricity/Civil Engineering) will be an added advantage
• 6-8 years experience working in projects with exposure to and knowledge of the civil discipline/ construction.
• Competent use of Civil design programs such as AutoCAD etc.

Reporting To: Coordinator, Project and Works
Job Type: Full time

Role Purpose

• Analysis of different technical proposals and site inspection.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking technical feasibility tests for augmentation & installation of new 33 /11KV S / S.
• Planning, drawing and designing of buildings and administrative structures at different sites.
• Assist in tendering and bid process management
• Approving the contractor’s work plan and interpretation of designs and drawings of projects after checking their match with the standard specifications required.
• Make estimation and review/ reassessment of cost for such project work
• Participate in giving part of the required inputs in arriving at the estimations made for the specific job to be executed
• Provide work direction as required to project execution of the facility and post completion analysis for either a single, large or numerous related project
• Direct the overall control of contractors work and their compliance requirements.
• Contribute to the evaluation of the contractors and material/ equipment suppliers required to complete assigned projects.
• Ensure all contracts are administered in accordance with IE’s contracting procedures
• Monitor department’s performance through Key Performance Measures.
• Ensure provision of adequate resources for various activities of the department
• Identify training needs of officials and arrange to provide the same.

Role Purpose

• Coordinates Project Management of Technical Projects/ Works in IE

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head in implementing all the projects of IE on time and as per the sanctioned/ approved budget
• Coordinate and prioritize project task, manages timelines, maintains project plans and communicates status to senior management.
• Coordinate with external vendors as needed to facilitate the implementation
• Ensure the project is implemented within contractual obligations and regulatory requirements
• Visit the project sites every month to assess actual physical/financial progress of the projects (new and ongoing)
• Coordinate work with functional area leaders and monitoring and reporting on project status and issues
• Coordinate and respond to project team issues and managing their expectations
• Assist in analyzing the progress made for each project, find deviations (if any) with respect to previously decided milestones and take corrective actions together with the Head Planning & Projects
• Collect the justification for the delay in progress from sites, asking contractors for justification regarding Project Management
• Comply with Quality Management System / Occupational Health & Safety requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs
• Perform any other duties as requested by Head Technical Services Department

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering field (Electricity/Civil)
• At least 8-10 years experience in Project Management.
