Brief Description

Review Powder Coating quality specifications and technical design documents of generating set canopies to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate quality testing activities.

Duties

• Ensure that JMG LTD is producing the best coated canopies for the generating sets.
• Monitor staff during surface preparation sessions and make sure they are complying with the company’s quality rules and regulations.
• Inspect all the parts after surface preparation session before starting the coating process.
• Select and inspect good quality products and enforce the rework of defected canopies.
• Ensure Quality Control and Assurance is done by Powder Coating staff in accordance to company’s policies and procedures.
• Inspect coated samples canopy parts and make sure it is complying with quality systems. 
• Monitor the chemical treatment tanks for chemical consumption rate daily.
• Observe and inspect the mode of cleaning and chemical reaction rate on application
• Ensure that mechanical/manual surface preparation on canopies is applied properly.
• Inspect proper adhesion system on applied canopy per time and ensure that it is completed with precision.
• Ensure that curing, drying time and cooling intervals are considered properly.
• Prepare daily reports on all quality tests taken on production works.
• Ensure all rinsing water and chemical wastes are properly disposed to chemical waste septic tank.
• Monitor the treatment of the chemical waste at the Effluent Treatment Plant.
• Ensure no electrical and mechanical fault occur in processing the treated waste at effluent treatment plant
• Monitor the chemical dosage daily and supplies in treating effluent.
• Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the work place, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Quality Engineering or Quality Management or equivalent. Any Quality Certifications such as Quality Auditor, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma Certifications would be a plus. Min 3-5   years of proven work experience in quality inspection, auditing and testing in a manufacturing environment and/or in the quality field.

Brief Description

Check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material, products and plates before bending/manufacturing process while maintaining high levels of quality standards.

Duties

• Check quality of metal sheets and plates before bending/manufacturing process.
• Check the thickness of the metal sheet through veneer caliper before cutting.
• Arrange cut part before bending
• Check the quality and quantity of the bent part.
• Inspect bent part with the aid of measuring tape and  tri-square
• Ensure the shop floor is free from debris
• Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies.
• Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
• Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.).
• Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures.
• Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
• Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards.
• Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet requirements.
• Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager, provide root cause analysis and execute corrective action plans.
• Coordinate safety-related functions and personnel, ensure bending operators’ adherence to safety protocols, and verify that all equipment is operating within safe limits.
• Ensure continuous improvement to current operations to enhance efficiency.
• Verify alignment and dimensions of product with the use of digital protractor and other devices and also solicit observations from operators.
• Mark defective pieces and recommends scrapping or methods for reworking.
• Maintain records, inspection results, and performance documentation.
• Submit quality evaluation and analysis of Statistical Process Control report on daily production achieved.
• Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the work place, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies
