Duties / Responsibilities
The Business Manager shall be responsible for overseeing business growth efforts on behalf of the company.
Duties will include conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and client leads, coordinating with company leadership to conduct risk assessments, and maintaining beneficial relationships with clients, suppliers and other business partners.
Ensure optimum cost control for the entire business by identifying business opportunities.
Working with the R&D team, Identify and implement continuous improvements initiatives for the formulation plant, including recipe improvements, and other marketing related initiatives.
Design and implement business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals
Lead & supervise the business operations employees to ensure productivity efficiency of operations and providing direction on how best to handle different tasks while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Assess overall company performance against objectives
Engages the sales, planning and market facing team to be able to deliver the right products that serves the customer needs.
Maintain plan for forecasting, targeting, and attaining sales
Ensure Finished goods (FG) availability to support sales ambition (Zero stock out situation).
Developing skill sets of team members, onboarding plans, operator trainings (both internal & external interventions as required) etc.
Identify areas of manufacturing Wastage and drive them down.
Ensure that system and analytical processes, documentation, testing are done, and documents kept.
Ensure a robust cGMP, and relevant ISO certification are done, and team are abreast with current manufacturing standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in with a minimum of Second Class Upper in Business, Management, or related field.
Professional qualification is an advantage
Minimum of 10 Years of relevant business management experience in manufacturing environment
Outstanding working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Knowledge of quality control and monitoring of product specifications
The Production Manager role is to effectively manage and coordinate the daily Production/ manufacturing of a Chemical formulation operations, focusing on targets: Safety, Quality, driving productivity, labour optimization, waste control, cost savings and compliance.
The candidate is also to ensure Material planning is effectively done so sufficient materials are available to support the manufacturing process.
Duties/Responsibilities
Overseeing and managing smooth and efficient factory production, to produce good quality outputs with desired yield levels.
Promote a culture of constant reviewing of all production processes to increase efficiency, productivity and quality whilst striving to lower cost.
Manage and support a team of Supervisors and other operational/ technical teams.
Encouraging a LEAN manufacturing and continuously improving culture.
Ensuring the effective application of Company policies and processes and to work with the business to develop these further.
Championing and adhering to our Health and Safety mandate.
Communicate effectively with your team to allocate work, set deadlines, and inform employees of issues.
Focus closely on labour, waste and GMP targets to ensure efficiency.
Ensures material planning is adequately done, with raw & packaging materials order and delivered for use with sufficient buffer stock provision.
Head up the Continuous improvement (CI) team, ensuring that projects are handled efficiently and with the greatest positive outcome.
Ensure savings are on track through Business Improvement Projects
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Production, Industrial or related field.

Minimum of 5 years experience in an FMCG or chemical/ herbicide filling plant operation/ facility
Outstanding working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
