    Business Development Manager

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced and highly connected Business Development Manager to drive business growth, identify strategic opportunities, and expand the company's market presence within Nigeria's Oil & Gas sector.
    • The ideal candidate will possess extensive industry knowledge, a strong professional network, and a proven track record of securing and managing high-value contracts and client relationships across the Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream segments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within the Oil & Gas industry.
    • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
    • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key industry stakeholders, clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
    • Conduct market research and gather intelligence on upcoming projects, tenders, investments, and emerging opportunities.
    • Lead the preparation and presentation of business proposals, commercial bids, capability statements, and client pitches.
    • Drive client acquisition efforts and manage the end-to-end business development cycle from prospecting to contract closure.
    • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and agreements to secure profitable business deals.
    • Collaborate with technical, operations, and project teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client requirements.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, networking engagements, and stakeholder meetings.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential business opportunities and risks.
    • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, business development reports, and performance metrics.
    • Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
    • MBA or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
    • Experience
    • Minimum of 15 years' experience in Business Development, Sales, Commercial Management, or a related role within the Oil & Gas industry.
    • Demonstrable experience working across Nigeria's Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream sectors.
    • Proven track record of winning and managing high-value accounts and commercial contracts.
    • Strong understanding of industry regulations, procurement processes, and commercial frameworks.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong network and established relationships within the Nigerian Oil & Gas industry.
    • Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.

    • tendering and bidding processes, multi-disciplinary construction teams.

    Civil Engineer (Technical Sales Focus)

    Job Summary 

    • This role combines core civil engineering responsibilities with technical support and technical sales functions, requiring the ability to interpret engineering requirements, provide on-site and remote technical guidance, and support client-facing technical discussions that influence project decisions and solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, cost estimates, and feasibility studies in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
    • Provide technical support and advisory services to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, including real-time troubleshooting of engineering issues.
    • Support technical sales and client engagement by contributing to proposals, client meetings, and translating requirements into engineering solutions.
    • Supervise site activities to ensure adherence to approved designs, quality standards, and construction specifications.
    • Enforce QA/QC procedures and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource utilization while supporting procurement and vendor evaluation.
    • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and progress updates, and act as a liaison between site teams, management, and clients.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
    • Professional certification or registration with COREN is an added advantage.
    • 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, or structural engineering projects.
    • Experience in technical sales, client-facing engineering, or technical solution support is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in engineering design and CAD software.
    • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
    • Proven ability to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and engineering guidance.
