    Trade Marketing Manger

    JOB SUMMARY

    • We are seeking a dynamic Trade Marketing Manager in the Electronics Industry to lead localized marketing and channel development strategies across key African markets.
    • This role plays a critical part in driving retail execution, enhancing distributor performance, and growing market share in the home air conditioner (AC) segment.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Plan and implement localized trade marketing campaigns such as roadshows, in-store activations, and community engagement events tailored to regional consumer behaviors and climate needs.
    • Ensure consistency in brand image through effective deployment of point-of-sale materials (POSM) and retail standards to maximize consumer conversion at touchpoints.
    • Break down annual and quarterly sales targets by channel, monitor performance trends, and adapt marketing initiatives accordingly.
    • Collaborate with distributor teams to enhance sales capabilities through training, incentive programs, and performance tracking.
    • Conduct frequent market visits to gather competitive intelligence on pricing, product features, and promotional
    • strategies within Africa’s AC sector.
    • Deliver actionable insights to product, marketing, and leadership teams to drive data-informed strategic decisions.
    • Partner with the product manager to identify and negotiate with strategic distribution partners, including appliance retailers, contractors, and e-commerce platforms.
    • Support the development of a channel tiering strategy to optimize sales coverage and deepen cooperation with high-performing partners.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related discipline.
    • At least 8–10 years in trade marketing, channel management, or regional sales development, ideally within the home appliance or consumer electronics industry.
    • Hands-on experience in African markets or strong knowledge of regional consumer behaviors and distribution channels preferred.
    • Familiarity with AC product features and go-to-market models (e.g., B2B2C, project-based sales).
    • Strong negotiation and partner management abilities.
    • Cross-cultural communication skills and adaptability to dynamic environments.
    • Willingness to travel extensively across African markets.
    • Proficiency in English is required; French or Portuguese is a strong plus.
    • Competent in data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI.
