    Bursar

    Details

    • The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.
    • Specifically, the candidate should be proficient in ICT and must not be more than 59 years at the time of application.

    Qualifications

    • A good honors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Financial Management.
    • A professionally recognized Accounting qualification from any of the following Accounting Bodies
    • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
    • Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN)
    • Association of Corporate and Certified Accountants 
    • Institute of Chartered Accountants of the United Kingdom, Scotland- American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
    • Possession of a higher degree in any of the relevant disciplines and fellowship of any of the recognized Accounting bodies would be an advantage.

    Experience:

    • The candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience in the University System or other similar establishments, out of which two (2) years must be as a Deputy Bursar.

    The Person:

    • The person must be of high integrity with good leadership qualities, enjoy robust physical & mental health, and be proficient in ICT and accounting.

    Salary / Conditions of Service

    • The appointment is for a period of five (5) effective from the date of assumption of duty.
    • The salary is as applicable to similar In positions in the Federal Universities 01 Nigeria and as may be determined from time to time by the Governing Council.

    Director, Works and Services

    Position Summary

    • The Director of Works and Services reports to the Vice-Chancellor and is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and management of all works and services in the University, providing leadership in planning, execution, and monitoring of infrastructural projects.

    Qualifications / Experience
    Candidates must:

    • Possess a good honours Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
    • Be registered with COREN; possession of a higher degree (Master's or PhD) is an added advantage.
    • Have a minimum of 15 years post- qualification cognate experience, preferably in university works or engineering services.
    • Hold the rank of Deputy Director or equivalent in a university or similar institution for two (2) years

    Leadership, Competencies & Other Requirements:
    Candidates must:

    • Demonstrate strong managerial and leadership ability.
    • Exhibit high integrity and accountability. and transparency.
    • Possess excellent problem-solving skills, decision-making, and project management skills.
    • Be proficient in relevant computer applications, including ICT tools relevant to the role.
    • Be in good physical and mental health. Be typically under 60 years of age at the time of appointment.

    Director, Physical Planning and Development

    Description

    • The Director of Physical Planning and Development is the University's Chief Physical Planning Officer, reporting to the Vice-Chancellor.
    • The role manages all aspects of physical planning, campus infrastructure development, and facilities management, while advising on policies for the University's growth.

    Qualifications / Experience
    Candidates must:

    • Possess a good honours Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban/Regional Planning or related disciplines
    • Be registered with COREN, ARCON, or other relevant professional body: possession of a higher degree is preferred.
    • Have a minimum of 15 years post- qualification cognate experience, preferably in physical planning. development, or university works.
    • Hold the rank of Deputy Director or equivalent in a university or similar institution for two (2) years.

    Leadership, Competencies & Other Requirements
    Candidates must:

    • Demonstrate distinct managerial ability and leadership skills.
    • Exhibit high transparency and integrity in public and private life.
    • Be proficient in ICT, including Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and planning tools.
    • Possess strong strategic,
    • organizational, and coordination skills.
    • Be below 60 years of age at the time of appointment.
    • Possess sound physical and mental health to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the role.

    Salary and Terms of Service

    • CONTISS 15.
    • The appointment shall be for a single term of five (5) years and will be subject to the conditions of service applicable to Federal Universities in Nigeria.
    • Remuneration and other benefits shall be in accordance with the provisions for senior management staff of Federal Government-owned Universities.
