    Assistant Accountant

    Role Description

    • The Assistant Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Abuja, supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting operations.
    • Responsibilities include recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and preparing basic reconciliations and financial reports.
    • The role also involves supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, organizing financial documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards.
    • The Assistant Accountant will collaborate closely with senior finance staff, respond to internal queries, and help maintain accurate, timely financial records to support decision-making across the organization.

    Qualifications

    • Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including experience with general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
    • Proficiency with accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., Excel/Spreadsheets, ERP or accounting systems), with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
    • Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and maintain professional relationships.
    • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
    • Relevant educational background, such as a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification or progress toward certification (e.g., ICAN, ACA, ACCA) is an advantage.
    • Prior experience in an accounting or finance support role, ideally in a manufacturing, FMCG, or sustainability-focused organization, is beneficial.

    Social Media Manager/Content Creator

    Role Description

    • This is a full-time, on-site Social Media Manager/Content Creator role based in Abuja.
    • The role involves planning, creating, and publishing engaging content across social media platforms to build brand awareness, educate audiences on sustainable packaging, and drive community engagement.
    • The Social Media Manager/Content Creator will manage the social media calendar, develop platform-specific content (including copy, images, and short-form videos), and ensure consistent brand voice and messaging.
    • Daily responsibilities include monitoring social channels, responding to comments and messages, analyzing performance metrics, and optimizing campaigns based on data insights.
    • The role also collaborates with marketing and product teams to support campaigns, launches, and storytelling that highlight TPPC’s mission and impact.

    Qualifications

    • Strong capabilities in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO), including platform management, audience growth, and performance tracking.
    • Skills in Content Strategy and Writing to plan, craft, and adapt content for different platforms and audiences.
    • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex sustainability topics in clear, compelling ways.
    • Experience creating and editing visual and video content (e.g., graphics, short-form videos, basic photography) for social media is highly beneficial.
    • Familiarity with social media analytics tools and basic knowledge of digital marketing principles.
    • Ability to work on-site in Abuja, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Accountant

    Role Description

    • This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Lagos.
    • The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including posting journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
    • The role includes preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank accounts, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
    • The Accountant will monitor cash flow, assist with tax computations and filings, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
    • The role also involves preparing internal reports for management, supporting audits, improving financial processes and controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

    Qualifications

    • Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
    • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups), and comfort working with financial data and spreadsheets.
    • Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP).
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with non-finance colleagues and present financial information clearly.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
    • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar industry; interest in sustainability and environmental stewardship is a plus.
