    Analytics Head

    The Role

    • The Analytics Head leads MSI Nigeria’s data analytics and reporting function, ensuring that high-quality, timely, and decision-relevant insights are available to programme, clinical, and organisational leadership.
    • The role sets the analytical agenda for the department, governs reporting standards, and builds the organisation’s internal data literacy and analytical capability.
    • The Analytics Head works closely with Programmes, Operations, M&E, MEL, Research, and Clinical Services teams, and ensures that analytical outputs from all decision-support systems are fit for purpose, accurate, and strategically meaningful.

    Key Responsibilities
    Analytics Strategy & Leadership:

    • Develop and drive the analytics strategy for MSI Nigeria, ensuring analytical capabilities align with programmatic and operational decision-making needs.
    • Set quality standards for all analytical outputs including dashboards, reports, datasets, and ad hoc analyses.
    • Oversee the organisation’s reporting infrastructure, including Power BI, Excel, MIS-Sun Reporting, and other business intelligence platforms.
    • Identify and champion opportunities to strengthen data use culture across MSI Nigeria through training, advocacy, and modelling good practice.
    • Contribute to the department’s strategic planning and represent the analytics function at departmental and SMT levels as required.
    • Support the resource mobilisation team with accurate and timely analytics and data modelling to support all proposals and fund raising efforts.

    Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Ensure the timely production of all scheduled programme and operational reports to internal and external audiences.
    • Oversee the design and maintenance of analytical dashboards and data visualisations that support leadership decision-making.
    • Ensure analytical outputs are clearly communicated, well-documented, and accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Lead the analysis of complex, multi-source datasets to generate programme insights, including family planning metrics, service delivery trends, and outcome indicators.
    • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from the Country Director, SMT, and programme leads in a timely and accurate manner.

    MIS & Programme Data Oversight:

    • Ensure the integrity, completeness, and timeliness of data flowing from field data collection tools into reporting systems.
    • Liaise with the M&E, MEL, and Research teams to align analytical outputs with monitoring frameworks and programme indicators.
    • Identify data quality issues across MIS and reporting pipelines and coordinate with the Business Solutions Manager to address root causes.
    • Support clinical governance and service delivery channels reporting requirements by ensuring relevant data pipelines are maintained and accurate.
    • Oversee the management and continuous improvement of MIS reporting tools used by programme and clinical teams.

    Data Governance & Quality:

    • Establish and maintain analytical standards, naming conventions, and data dictionary documentation for all key datasets and reports.
    • Review all major analytical outputs before external submission or senior presentation for accuracy, consistency, and interpretive integrity.
    • Ensure compliance with MSI data protection policies and responsible data principles in all analytical work.
    • Develop and maintain a version control and change management process for all production dashboards and reports.
    • Support the Head of Department in identifying and reporting on organisational data risks.

    Data Privacy Governance:

    • Serve as MSI Nigeria's internal Data Privacy focal point, coordinating with information leads across all departments to ensure consistent adherence to data privacy standards.
    • Maintain and regularly review MSI Nigeria's data privacy policies, ensuring alignment with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and any applicable MSI global standards.
    • Monitor changes in Nigerian and international data privacy legislation and advise the Head of Department and SMT on implications for MSI Nigeria's operations.

    Privacy Impact Assessments:

    • Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for all new and significantly changed data systems, research activities, and programme data collection processes.
    • Document identified privacy risks with clear mitigation plans, owners, and review timelines, maintaining a live risk register for sign-off by the Head of Department.
    • Ensure PIA outputs are factored into system design and procurement decisions, including the ERP implementation.

    Training & Awareness:

    • Design and deliver regular data privacy training for all MSI Nigeria staff, ensuring content is role-appropriate, engaging, and up to date with current legal requirements.
    • Maintain a data privacy training register, tracking completion rates across all departments and escalating gaps to department heads and HR.
    • Develop and circulate periodic data privacy awareness communications to reinforce a culture of responsible data handling across the organisation.

    Incident & Compliance Oversight:

    • Serve as the first point of escalation for data privacy incidents or concerns raised by staff or information leads in other departments.
    • Document any data privacy incidents, assess their severity, and coordinate the organisational response in line with NDPR requirements and MSI policy.
    • Produce a quarterly data privacy compliance summary for the Head of Department covering training status, PIAs completed, risks identified, and incidents handled.

    Team Leadership & Capability Building:

    • Directly line-manage the Senior Data Analyst and Analyst, setting objectives, reviewing performance, and building analytical capability.
    • Design and deliver structured learning opportunities for staff across MSI Nigeria to improve their data literacy and use of analytical tools.
    • Foster a team culture of rigour, curiosity, and continuous improvement in analytical standards.
    • Manage workload planning across the analytics team, ensuring sustainable distribution of tasks and appropriate prioritisation.
    • Identify capability gaps in the team and make recommendations for recruitment, training, or role adjustment.

    Key Experience/Qualification

    • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Epidemiology, Information Systems, Public Health, or a closely related quantitative field.
    • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is an advantage
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience in data analysis, MIS, or business intelligence roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior capacity.
    • Demonstrated experience leading and managing an analytics or data team.
    • Proven experience designing and delivering analytical outputs for strategic decision-making in a complex organisational context.
    • Experience working with M&E or programme data in a global health, development, or humanitarian setting.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Power BI or equivalent business intelligence tools.
    • Experience with DHIS2 or similar programme reporting platforms is a strong advantage
    • Working knowledge of the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and its operational implications for an NGO context.

    Data Analyst

    The Role

    • The Analyst supports the production of high-quality analytical outputs, data summaries, and visualisations that inform programme delivery and organisational decision-making at MSI Nigeria.
    • Working under the direction of the Analytics Head, the role contributes to routine and ad hoc data analysis, maintains dashboards and reports, assists with data cleaning and preparation, and supports the broader analytics team in delivering timely and accurate insights.
    • The Analyst plays an important role in building MSI Nigeria’s data use culture by producing outputs that are clear, accessible, and decision-relevant.

    Key Responsibilities
    Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Produce routine analytical reports and summaries on programme performance, service delivery metrics, and operational data as directed by the Analytics Head.

    Software Lead

    The Role

    • The Software Lead is responsible for the hands-on development, maintenance, documentation, and debugging of software applications and automation scripts that support MSI Nigeria’s operational and programmatic needs.
    • The role bridges the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, building and maintaining internal tools, configuring integrations between platforms, and ensuring all code and applications are well-documented, version-controlled, and supported.

    Key Responsibilities
    Application Development & Maintenance:

    • Design, develop, and maintain internal software applications, automation scripts, and tools to meet organisational requirements.

    Security & Best Practice:

    • Ensure all developed code and applications adhere to MSI Nigeria’s data security policies and software development best practices.
    • Implement appropriate access controls, input validation, and error handling in all developed applications.
    • Stay current with relevant programming languages, frameworks, and industry best practices, bringing new knowledge into the team

    Experience / Qualification

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in software development, scripting, or application development roles.
    • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining integrations between systems using APIs or automated pipelines.
    • Proven track record in debugging, root cause analysis, and resolving software or integration issues.

    Business Solutions Manager

    The Role

    • The Business Solutions Manager leads the design, procurement, implementation, and ongoing management of MSI Nigeria’s enterprise technology systems.
    • The role is the primary owner of the ERP procurement process and is responsible for ensuring that all business applications, including financial systems, operational tools, and data platforms, are robustly implemented, well-governed, and tightly integrated with the organisation’s broader data and technology ecosystem.

    Key Responsilities
    Enterprise Systems Strategy & ERP:

    MSP Coordinator

    The Role

    • The MSP Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operational coordination of MSI Nigeria’s relationship with its Managed Service Provider, ensuring that contracted services are delivered to the agreed standard, that service requests are tracked and resolved within SLA timeframes, and that any performance issues are escalated appropriately.
    • The role acts as the operational interface between MSI Nigeria’s internal IT function and the MSP, maintaining accurate service records, supporting contract governance, and contributing to continuous improvement in managed IT service quality.

    Key Responsibilities
    MSP Service Coordination:

    • Serve as the day-to-day operational liaison with the Managed Service Provider, coordinating service requests, change requests, and escalations.
    • Track all MSP service tickets and requests to ensure they are acknowledged, actioned, and resolved within agreed SLA timelines.
    • Maintain a comprehensive log of all MSP interactions, incidents, and resolutions for audit and governance purposes.
    • Coordinate MSP access to MSI Nigeria sites, systems, and staff as required for service delivery activities.

    SLA Monitoring & Reporting:

    • Maintain a register of SLA breaches, documenting the cause, duration, and resolution of each incident.

    • Identify patterns of underperformance or recurring issues in MSP service delivery and escalate for management action.

    Contract & Vendor Administration:

    • Maintain accurate records of all MSP contract documents, amendments, service schedules, and correspondence.
    • Track MSP contract renewal dates, pricing terms, and scope of service, alerting the IT Manager well in advance of key milestones.
    • Process MSP invoices and support the IT Manager in verifying charges against contracted scope and delivered services.
    • Coordinate with Finance on MSP-related purchase orders, payments, and budget tracking.
    • Support the IT Manager in onboarding new service components or vendors as the MSP scope evolves.

    Infrastructure Support Coordination:

    • Coordinate scheduled maintenance, system updates, and planned outages with the MSP, ensuring appropriate internal communication and minimal disruption.
    • Support the IT Manager in documenting network infrastructure, server configurations, and managed services architecture.
    • Assist in coordinating disaster recovery tests and business continuity activities with the MSP.
    • Liaise between the MSP and the Help Desk Officer to ensure smooth handover and resolution of escalated helpdesk issues.

    Experience / Qualification

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management qualification is an advantage
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in IT coordination, vendor management, or service administration roles.
    • Demonstrated experience monitoring and reporting on service-level agreements or contracted service performance.
    • Experience maintaining records, logs, and documentation in a structured and audit-ready manner.
    • Exposure to IT infrastructure, managed services, or outsourced technology environments.
