    Agric Extension Worker

    Scope of Work

    • Take data from farmers field and report to a specified officer.
    • Coordinate supply of inputs to farmers.
    • Liase with lead farmers where necessary for the success of the Kiara Project.
    • Identify, register and coordinate pool of unskilled workers necessary for the success of the Kiara project.
    • Inspect farmer’s field on regular basis and report all observations to the Agronomist for necessary action.
    • Participate in the training of farmers on selected areas of need as identified by the Project Officer.
    • Submit a weekly report of activities with pictures where necessary to the Agronomist.
    • Carry out any other activity as may be assigned by the Agronomist.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess an OND qualification
    • Minimum of 5 years of agronomy work experience.
    • In-depth knowledge of soil and crop principles.

    Accountant

    Job Description

    • Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries.
    • Preparing statutory accounts.
    • Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct.
    • Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
    • Recording and filing cash transactions.
    • Controlling credit and chasing debt.
    • Invoice processing and filing.
    • Processing expense requests for the accountant to approve.
    • Bank reconciliation.
    • Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers.
    • Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.

    Qualifications

    • HND or B.Sc in Accounting, Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture
    • Minimum of 2 years of working experience.
    • Good understanding of Agricultural processes.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

    HR Assistant

    Job Description

    • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
    • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives
    • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
    • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
    • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes
    • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
    • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)
    • Communicate with public services when necessary
    • Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
    • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
    • Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
    • Assist our recruiters to source candidates and update our database

    Requirements and Skills

    • Degree in Human Resources or related field with 2 - 4 years work experience.
    • Proven experience as an HR Assistant.
    • Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
    • Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
    • Familiarity with ATS software and resume databases
    • Basic knowledge of labor laws
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Strong communications skills
