    Accountant

    Basic Function

    • Under the direction of the State Team Lead, the Accountant shall assume responsibility for accounting in the State Office and ensure compliance with the contractual financial requirements of programs/projects.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist the State Team Lead in ensuring the accurate keeping of all books of account for the project, including checking account, equipment and supply registers and all accounting records.
    • Work with the State Team Lead to lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, including financial status of subprojects account activities with accompanying bank documentation and receipts.
    • Assist the State Team Lead in monitoring sub-project budgets in accordance with approved work plan activities.
    • Monitor periodic expenditures of projects by analyzing financial data and producing periodic and ad hoc reports.
    • Provide support with the accounting workflow in the review and audit of State Office and sub-recipient reports for reimbursement of expenditures.
    • Function as support for processing cash advances, retirements, petty cash management and refunds made in favor of AHNi.
    • Prepare fiscal year budgets and enter them into AHNI’s accounting software program.
    • Support the State Team Lead in preparing reports for submission to Donors.
    • Review the work of state finance staff for accuracy and proper report content.
    • Create, update, and maintain financial spreadsheets.
    • Develop budgets, including staff time allocations.
    • Work with Team/Unit Leads to resolve problems associated with monthly expenditures and life-of projects budgets.

    Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

    • Ability to work with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff, subcontractors, and recipients of assistance.
    • Well-developed computer skills.
    • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
    • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting, budgeting and fiscal control theory and practices.
    • Budget monitoring and general ledger skills.
    • Relevant software skills to include automated accounting software, database spreadsheets and Management Information Systems.
    • Handle financial and quantitative information with accuracy and precision; resourceful in gathering, verifying and analyzing financial data.

    Senior Technical Officer - Prevention, Care and Treatment

    Job Description

    • The STO – PCT will support in the provision of technical leadership in regard to clinical management of HIV/AIDS strategies and approaches in implementation of programs for the General and Key population.
    • S/He will Work with relevant stakeholders to coordinate the design and implementation of facility-based programs in relation to clinical management of HIV/AIDS, including the use of anti-retroviral treatment, TB HIV services integration, PMTCT, KP services, care, and support.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MBBS / MD / PHD or similar Degree with 5 to 6 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years progressive experience working in the health or development field in Nigeria
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in care and treatment for HIV/AIDS especially with ARV program.
    • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is required.
    • Proven experience in project development, planning and facilitating technical training.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

    Technical Assistant - Community Art Management Services

    Job Description

    • Technical Assistant - Community Art Management Services Will provide technical and programmatic support to implement high quality comprehensive HIV/AIDS programs (ART, PMTCT, TB/HIV, RH/HIV, and HTS) and other services including direct service provision support for community level services based on the ongoing HIV and Tb surge in Akwa Ibom state. Support, scale up and coordinate the community level implementation of integrated HIV and TB surge strategies aimed at maximizing HIV case finding efficiencies based on the 95:95:95 strategies.
    • S/He will support optimal linkage and enrolment rates for identified HIV positive adult, adolescent and pediatric clients at community level based on the 95:95:95 strategies, support the community level implementation of test and start strategy including same day ART enrolment for identified HIV positive adults, adolescent and pediatric patients based on the 95:95:95 strategies and also support the community level implementation of strategies aimed at optimizing retention in ART care and enhancing virological suppression for adult, adolescent and pediatric patients enrolled in EPIC-supported treatment locations based on the 95:95:95 strategies.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • MBBS with a minimum of 1 year post national youth service experience in clinical care OR Registered Nurse / Midwife / B.Sc Nursing with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
    • A sound understanding of HIV/AIDS, TB and TB/HIV technical areas.
    • Knowledge of Nigerian clinical setting including government and non-government settings
    • Experience in integrated HIV care delivery
    • Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the social, political and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection.
