    Accountant

    My client is a leading Nigerian Packaging Industry. They specialize in the production of Preforms for the Beverage, Edible oil markets and the production of Jerry Cans for the Lubricant Oil industry .Due to expansion They are in need of an ACCOUNTANT in  KADUNA.

    Job Description:

    • Maintain accounts operations for provision of accurate financial information useful in decision making.
    • Protect and preserve the company's accounting policies and assets to comply with financial reporting and control requirements
    • Prepare daily sales report
    • Prepare stock variance report
    • Prepare and analyze financial information - Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet schedules etc
    • Reconcile items like revenue (Bank, Cash etc), receivables, payables, inventories, advances and miscellaneous income to make sure they are within accounting policy definitions
    • Assist in preparing annual budget, financial forecasting and proactively work on accounting complexities
    • Plan tax returns with reference (to current legislation)
    • Analyze and ensure compliance to capital expenditure policy
    • Ensure timely and complete month-end and year-end closing in preparation for annual audit
    • Coordinate with external auditors to deliver various audit requirements. Ensure recommendations and internal audit queries are effectively implemented
    • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures for accountability and minimizing wastage
    • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
    • Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports
    • Report any suspected case of fraud to the management without bias
    • Maintain and prepare company payroll with reference to payroll changes from HR
    • Provide daily guidance to Cashier and Accounting Officer
    • Prepare other key metric reports relevant for business
    • Carry out other duties that may be assigned from time to time by Financial Controller
    • Prepare daily sales report and Monthly stock variance report.

    Job Requirements;

    • BSc or HND in Accounting (minimum second class lower division)
    • ICAN or ACCA qualified
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
    • Knowledge in Advanced Microsoft Office -advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a MUST
    • Excellent use of Tally software
    • Competence in stock taking, maintenance of records and preparation of reports
    • Ample experience leading and working across corporate functions with financial rigour and accountability
    • Ability to express ideas clearly both in oral and written communication
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

    Job Description;

    ·         Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance

    • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
    • Recruit, supervise, and train maintenance technicians
    • Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs, or maintenance (electricians, plumbers, etc.)
    • Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, etc.)
    • Handling of shift, troubleshooting, and repairs.
    • Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
    • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
    • Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
    • Maintain extrusion and injection lines, mold-related issues, hydraulic seals replacement, and plumbing-related issues.

    Job Requirements;

    • Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role
    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineer or any related field.
    • Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, etc.)
    • Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
    • Understanding of budgeting and performance management
    • Excellent planning and leadership ability

    Quality Assurance Manager

    Job Description;

    • Generate SOPs for processes in the Quality Assurance department, train QA staff on SOPs, daily evaluate activities in QA lab to ensure compliance with SOPs and promote good manufacturing practices.
    • Oversee, review and maintain overall Quality Assurance initiatives and new product development
    • In charge of creating awareness on Food Safety and Quality Management System in the Organization
    • Serve as Management Representative for all audits and customer inspections. Submit detailed report of all internal audit and non-conformity resolution for management review.
    • Oversee review of processes and documents of the organization and ensure they are adequate in line with requirements of necessary standards.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly weight reports.
    • Serve as the Food Safety Team Leader and ensure the effectiveness of control measures to achieve product quality and safety to ensure zero failure of critical control point.
    • Preparation of reports for customers, suppliers and Management as required from time to time.

    Job Description;

    • Food Safety Certification
    • Minimum of HND
    • Excellent understanding of injection and extrusion line.
    • Knowledgeable on Quality Management System, Environmental Management System & HACCP.
    • Skilled in using Head space Gas Chromatograph, KF Coulometer, Plastometer, Spectrophotometer.
    • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety Management System.
    • Strongly Proficient in Data research, Data Collation, Data Integration and Interpretation.
    • Working understanding and application of different grades of PET resin and Preforms.
    • Skilled in using Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Density Gradient Column, FTIR machine & pH meter.
    • Proficient in analysis of Intrinsic Viscosity using Viscometers, Acetaldehyde (AA) content of PET resins and preforms, Moisture content using Karl Fischer Titrator, Density, Melting point of PET resin, Melt Flow Index (MFI) of Polypropylene pellets, IPA/DEG analysis of PET resin using Auto injection Gas
    • Chromatograph, Colour of PET resin using CIE Lab (Colorimeter) and Hunter Lab (Lab Scan XE), and Water analysis.
