Job Summary

• Responsible for managing the company’s full financial and bookkeeping function, ensuring timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with lawful and accepted corporate procedures and policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and income statements for office and reporting purposes.
• Manage BSP reconciliation between daily approvals and ticket sales on BSP.
• Handle all reconciliations (bank, cash, local tickets, refunds, commissions, third-party suppliers).
• Prepare requisitions for all company expenses (payables).
• Manage, disburse, and record petty cash transactions.
• Follow up on the company’s debtors via email, phone calls, text messages, and physical visits.
• Prepare invoices for all ticket sales and send to customers via the reservations team.
• Issue receipts for all customer payments received.
• Prepare sales schedules (international tickets, local tickets, insurance, hotels, tours, travel consultations, etc.).
• Prepare monthly payroll reports and file statutory returns with relevant authorities (Pensions, Tax, VAT, FIRS, LIRS, PAYE, etc.).
• Maintain relationships with IATA, banks, consultants, and auditors.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Professional certification (ICAN / ACCA).
• Experience: 4 - 6 years
• Experience with accounting software.
• Proven bookkeeping experience, particularly with BSP and general office finance.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical travel agency operations.
• Good understanding of applicable tax laws.
• GDS knowledge/experience (an advantage).
• Proficiency in computer and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to multitask and work with accuracy.
• High attention to detail, flexibility, and efficiency.
• Trustworthiness and honesty.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly spot errors/discrepancies.
