  • About Guardian Global Resources
  • Guardian is a multi-services company which specialises in Security & Risk Management, Support Services, Training and Private Client Services. Our comprehensive range of services provide a framework for safety and security which enables businesses and individuals to operate with confidence in high-risk locations.

Drawing on our years of experience operating in hostile environments, combined with our global presence and unrivalled local knowledge, we support and advise our clients on critical operations in complex jurisdictions.

Headquartered in the United Kingdom, Guardian was formed in 2007 as a bespoke Risk Management and Crisis Response company focusing on High-Net-Worth individuals and family offices. The company quickly developed a wider range of services, moving into the commercial market and providing support for multinational companies and organisations.

In May 2011, in response to the emerging threat of Somalia-based piracy and attacks on the offshore and STS industry in the Gulf of Guinea, Guardian established its maritime division, Guardian Maritime Services. With the maritime experience of its founding members as a foundation and launch pad, Guardian began providing insightful security solutions to the shipping and offshore industry.

As the shadow of piracy grew over the Gulf of Guinea, and the rate of attacks on commercial shipping and seafarers became more organised, Guardian quickly recognised the global shift in maritime security concerns away from Somalia and the Indian Ocean, and towards West Africa and her affected countries. This emerging trend soon shaped the structure of our operations, with the establishment of regional offices in West Africa.
