Job Description

• The X-Ray Technician is responsible for performing routine radiographic examinations to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment within KTHSMB healthcare facilities. The role involves operating X-ray equipment, preparing patients for procedures, ensuring radiation safety compliance, and maintaining accurate imaging records. The technician will work under the supervision of a Radiographer or medical officer to deliver efficient and high-quality imaging services.

 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine X-ray imaging procedures as directed
• Prepare and position patients for radiographic examinations
• Operate X-ray machines and related imaging equipment
• Ensure adherence to radiation protection and safety guidelines
• Assist in processing and reviewing radiographic images
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Report equipment faults and assist with basic maintenance
• Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of imaging rooms
• Support radiographers and medical staff during procedures
• Provide clear instructions to patients before and after imaging

 Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in X-Ray Technology or related field
• Basic knowledge of radiographic procedures
• Understanding of radiation safety practices
• Good communication and patient care skills
• Relevant experience
