Warehouse Supervisor at Persianas Retail Limited

Job Purpose: 

The Warehouse supervisor manages and oversees all warehouse activities, ensures efficient processes, and maximizes warehouse productivity. The warehouse supervisors’ responsibilities include supervising employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, and preparing relevant documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping merchandise.
• Supervise warehouse employees and all daily activities to ensure operational efficiency.
• Manage, evaluate, and report on warehouse productivity.
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of orders.
• Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Lead and motivate the warehouse team members, providing training and coaching, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Ensure warehouse space is utilized effectively and kept clean and tidy.
• Arrange warehouse handling of equipment and to load/unload goods.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile any discrepancies to maintain inventory control.
• Resolve issues regarding any shipped orders.
• Strategically plans operations to maximize the use of space, time, and resources.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and timely deliveries.
• Ensure efficient processes are in place for the receiving and dispatching of merchandise.
• Perform any other duties or tasks assigned by management.

Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration is preferred.
• Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role, preferably within the fashion retail industry.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and order fulfilment processes
• Proven experience in coordinating and directing operations.
• Proficiency using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and health and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership skills, organizational and multitasking and time management abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
