Job Summary

• The Warehouse Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory management, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping.
• Train, motivate, and manage warehouse staff to achieve operational excellence and high morale.
• Maintain accurate Inventory records; implement stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
• Develop and implement warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and productivity Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and maintain a safe working environment.
• Prepare and present performance reports, including inventory levels, productivity metrics, and operational issues.
• Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS) and inventory management systems.

General Knowledge, Skills and abilities:

• Previous work experience with a similar industry. (e.g. Catering industry or FMCG Industry)
• Great use of excel, Strong attention to details and negotiation skillsAdept in haulage and Logistics planning including shipping and packagingPlan with Supply Chain Manager on material sourcing, receivables and dispatch Conversant with warehouse equipment and maintenance practiceKnowledge of Food health and safety regulations and best practices and understanding of Portharcourt supply chain vendors and market sourcing environment.
