Greeting and Seating:

• Warmly welcoming guests, taking them to their tables, and providing menus. 

Taking Orders:

• Accurately recording food and drink orders, often using a POS system, and communicating them to the kitchen or bar staff. 

Providing Recommendations:

• Suggesting items based on guest preferences and highlighting daily specials. 

Upselling:

• Suggesting additional items like appetizers, desserts, or premium beverages to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. 

Addressing Inquiries:

• Answering questions about menu items, food allergies, and drink preparation. 

Resolving Issues:

• Handling customer complaints and ensuring satisfaction by finding solutions. 

Food and Beverage Service:

Serving Drinks:

• Ensuring drinks are prepared correctly, garnished appropriately, and served promptly. 

Serving Food:

• Delivering food orders to the correct tables, checking for accuracy and presentation. 

Order Fulfillment:

• Communicating with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. 

Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:

• Table Maintenance: Clearing finished plates, glasses, and utensils promptly to maintain a tidy dining area. 
• Station Maintenance: Stocking the service station with necessary supplies, like napkins, silverware, and glassware. 
• Bar Area Cleanliness: Ensuring the bar area remains clean and organized throughout the shift. 

Financial Transactions:

• Processing Payments: Handling cash and card transactions, providing change, and issuing receipts. 
• Maintaining Records: Keeping track of bills and ensuring accurate payment processing. 

Other Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

• Assisting with inventory of bar supplies, reporting shortages, and ensuring sufficient stock. 

Teamwork:

• Collaborating with other staff members, including bartenders, kitchen staff, and other servers.
