Volunteer - Email Marketer at Rec Room Wellness

Objective:

• To design and distribute engaging, informative, and visually cohesive email campaigns that keep the Rec Room Wellness’ community informed, inspired, and connected.

Expectations

• Responsible for 4 emails per month (minimum), with flexibility to add additional campaigns as needed
• Attend monthly strategy meetings and required check-ins
• Report to Communications and Content Lead
• Ensure all content aligns with Rec Room’s voice, accessibility standards, and visual identity

Responsibilities

• Draft and schedule weekly email newsletters featuring upcoming events, blog posts, session recaps, and wellness tips
• Collaborate with the content and community teams to align messaging and timing
• Design visually appealing emails that follow Rec Room Wellness’ brand guidelines
• Segment mailing lists and tailor content to increase open and click rates
• Monitor analytics (open rates, CTRs, and unsubscribes) and report monthly performance
• Regularly update email templates and optimize for mobile responsiveness

Project Workflow

• Email content drafted by Thursday of the week before sending
• Internal review and edits completed by Saturday
• Finalized and scheduled by Monday for Tuesday delivery

Tools

• Access to email platform (Sender.net)
• Shared brand guidelines, graphics folder, and content calendar
• Analytics dashboard access for reporting performance
