    Vice Principal (Academics)

    Location: Oba, Anambra

    Job Summary

    • The Vice Principal (Academics) will provide strategic and operational leadership for designated academic activities in the school.
    • The role is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and management of teaching and learning, ensuring the maintenance of high academic standards and alignment with international best practices.
    • Key responsibilities include overseeing curriculum delivery, supervising and mentoring teaching staff, promoting continuous improvement in student performance, coordinating professional development, fostering an engaging and positive learning environment, and maintaining strong communication with parents.
    • The Vice Principal (Academics) will work closely with the Principal and the Senior Management Team on all matters relating to academic strategy and school development.

    Person Specification
    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • A good First Degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification.
    • A minimum of 7 years of teaching and academic leadership experience in a reputable school, preferably a boarding school.
    • A proven track record of effective academic supervision and demonstrable success in improving student performance.
    • Strong management, organisational, and communication skills.
    • Excellent spoken and written English.
    • Strong IT and computer proficiency.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
    • A professional presence that inspires confidence and respect.
    • Unimpeachable integrity, high work ethic, and a passion for driving academic excellence.

    Remuneration

    • The salary is competitive and negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
    • The role includes an apartment on the school premises, and residence on the school campus is required.
