    Vice Chancellor

    Job Description

    The successful candidate within the Vice Chancellor - Nigeria role, will be based in Abuja Nigeria and will have the following responsibilities for Education and Training company:

    • Define strategic vision, mission, strategic direction, and identify advancement opportunities.
    • Lead in establishing the University's goals, priorities and allocation of resources to meet strategic goals
    • Lead the creation, implementation and compliance with the
    • University's strategic and policy frameworks.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of the University's comprehensive institutional plan.
    • Lead the executive leadership team in the effective and responsible operation of the University and the use of the University's resources ensuring operational efficiency and exemplary fiscal performance
    • Serve as the University's advocate fostering effective engagement with partners, stakeholders and general public on matters ranging from funding, research, operational developments, etc.
    • Promote and protect reputation and integrity of the University.
    • Promote inspirational leadership
    • Curate strategic connections within the tertiary academic community
    • Develop and implement fund development initiatives to cultivate friends and donors to the University
    • Facilitate an effective shared governance framework and act as a liaison between the Board of Trustees, Leadership Team, etc.
    • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with
    • Internal and external stakeholders including the Board, the Senate, faculty, students, staff and alumni, other educational institutions, regulatory bodies and institutions
    • Stay current on tertiary education trends for possible adoption within the University.
    • Identify, manage and resolve issues and challenges facing the University
    • Preside over University events
    • Perform ad hoc tasks as and when required

    The Successful Applicant

    The successful candidate within the Vice Chancellor - Nigeria role must have the following attributes:

    • PHD in chose course of study
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience at Professor level with equivalent years in senior leadership position.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of rules and regulations within tertiary education
    • Exceptional leadership skills
    • Extensive academic teaching, and managerial experience.
    • The ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
    • Exceptional public speaking personae
    • Exhibit and imbibe personable and professional mannerisms
    • Superb active listening, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Excellent networking and administrative skills.
