    • Their duties include diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, performing surgery, providing preventative care, and educating owners on animal care.
    • They also play a role in public health, animal welfare, and research.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Diagnosis and Treatment:
      • Veterinarians examine animals to assess their health, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans. This may involve using medical equipment like X-ray machines, ultrasound, and surgical tools.
    • Surgery:
      • Performing both routine and emergency surgeries on animals is a common part of a vet's work.
    • Preventive Care:
      • Administering vaccinations, performing routine check-ups, and providing advice on nutrition, exercise, and dental care are crucial for preventing disease and promoting overall animal health.
    • Client Education:
      • Veterinarians educate pet owners on how to properly care for their animals, including feeding, behavior, and breeding practices.

    Salary
    N120,000 - N130,000 monthly.
