Utility Head Manager at Fadac Resources

Our client is one of Africa’s largest economies and continues to cement its Group’s position as one of the leading and most diversified consumer brand builders in the country. Due to expansion, they need a UTILITY HEAD OR MANAGER
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing requirements of the WTP/ETP lab and coordinating daily operations
• Managing effluent and Sewage Treatment Plant, Firefighting Pump house, Fire detection system and PA system, Central HVAC systems (AdministrativeBuilding), Power backup systems: UPS and diesel generator, Air compressors, Bore wells maintenance, Fire detection, alarm, and PA system
• Ensuring compliance with EHS guidelines in day-to-day operations in all areas under the role portfolio. Conducting fire drills and other safety programs to ensure that employees are prepared in case of an emergency
• Managing operations, monitoring routines and conducting maintenance schedules, and reviewing operational breakdown metrics in specified areas as related to energy usage, water treatment plant, production levels, and labor costs to ensure smooth operations.
• Overseeing the development of new utility systems or facilities such as gas pipelines or power plants.
• Ensuring compliance with equipment certification requirements for the organization

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• B.Sc/MSc in mechanical, electrical engineering or any related field
• Minimum of 12-15 years experience in a similar role in the oral care industry
• Expertise in WTP, Boiler, Chiller, Compressor, DG, GG, HVAC, Effluent treatment plant, CT,
•  PRMS Should be able to carry out maintenance practices, such as preventive, predictive, a condition monitoring.
• In-depth knowledge of operation and maintenance of infrastructural equipment, like boilers, DG sets, etc
• Working knowledge of computers.
