    Treasury Manager (Retail)

    Key Responsibilities:

    Treasury Management:

    • Develop and implement cash flow forecasting models to ensure sufficient liquidity for day-today operations.
    • Monitor and manage the company's bank accounts, including reconciliations and transaction verification.
    • Evaluate and negotiate banking services and fees to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
    • Implement and maintain treasury policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks.

    Cash Flow Optimization:

    • Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for improving cash flow and working capital management.
    • Collaborate with procurement and inventory management teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce holding costs.
    • Develop and implement strategies to accelerate receivables and extend payables within acceptable terms.

    Financial Reporting and Compliance:

    • Prepare periodic reports on cash flow, working capital, and accounts payable metrics for management and stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
    • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

    Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and mentor a team of treasury and accounts payable professionals.
    • Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing team.
    • Technology and Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for automation and streamlining of treasury and payables processes.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain financial systems and tools.

    Skills, Competencies and Requirements:

    • Knowledge and understanding of the Supermarket/Retail business

    Educational Qualifications/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • ACA/ACCA or equivalent certification is a plus.
    • Proven experience (4 years) in treasury management and accounts payable, preferably in the retail or supermarket industry.
    • Strong understanding of financial systems and technology, including proficiency in Excel and financial software.
    • Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Leadership and team management experience
