    Transaction Structuring & Project Risk Manager

    Job Opportunity:

    Transaction Structuring & Project Risk Manager Location: Abuja Norrenberger Financial Group is seeking to hire a Transaction Structuring & Project Risk Manager who will be responsible for evaluating, structuring, and managing the risk of complex financial transactions across various sectors. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure transaction viability, compliance, and profitability, while identifying and mitigating associated project risks. This role is pivotal in supporting the firm’s investment initiatives and capital deployment strategies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the structuring of financial transactions, including debt, equity, and hybrid instruments, ensuring alignment with regulatory and investment guidelines.
    • Evaluate project proposals, conduct due diligence, and identify key risks related to financial, operational, and legal aspects of projects.
    • Develop robust risk assessment frameworks and mitigation strategies to ensure sustainable and compliant investments.
    • Work with legal, compliance, and finance teams to negotiate terms, draft documentation, and finalize transaction agreements.
    • Support origination teams in evaluating transaction feasibility and crafting innovative structuring solutions.
    • Monitor ongoing project and portfolio risks, implementing early warning indicators and risk management protocols.
    • Stay informed on regulatory developments, economic shifts, and industry trends that could impact transaction structuring and risk exposure.
    • Prepare reports, investment memos, and risk analysis presentations for internal committees and external investors.

    Requirements

    Educational Qualification & Training

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
    • A Master’s degree, CFA, FRM, or a relevant risk or finance certification is an added advantage.

    Knowledge & Professional Experience

    • 3–5 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, transaction structuring, or risk management.
    • Deep understanding of financial instruments, legal documentation, and transaction lifecycle.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment tools.
    • Experience negotiating and closing investment deals.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial structuring tools. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks is essential.
