Technician, HVAC at Charterhouse Lagos

Role Overview: 

• The HVAC Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operations and maintenance of our HVAC systems.
• The successful candidate will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including chillers, air handlers, and ductwork.
• Perform routine inspections to prevent breakdown and troubleshooting to identify issues.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacement of parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
• Carry out daily and scheduled checks on the HVAC systems.
• Collaborate with facilities management team to optimize campus comfort and energy efficiency.
• Respond to emergency HVAC issues and perform repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with other facilities related tasks as needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

• Minimum of five years’ experience as HVAC technician.
• Minimum of Trade Test Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical or related field. Strong knowledge of HVAC principles.
• Familiarity with building automation systems.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of energy management systems.
