    Technical Lead

    Job Summary

    • The Technical Documentation Specialist will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing high-quality technical and operational documentation across enterprise digital and technology environments.
    • The role involves creating user-friendly documentation, supporting knowledge management initiatives, ensuring governance compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver clear and accurate technical information.
    • The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business and operational users.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop technical documentation, user guides, operational manuals, and process documentation.
    • Produce release notes, implementation guides, and other project-related documentation.
    • Collaborate with technical and business teams to gather, validate, and organize required information.
    • Ensure documentation consistency, quality, accuracy, and governance compliance.
    • Support knowledge management, project handovers, and documentation lifecycle activities.
    • Maintain document repositories and ensure adherence to version control standards.
    • Simplify complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation for business and operational users.
    • Participate in project reviews, documentation audits, and governance processes.
    • Work within enterprise digital and technology environments to support multiple projects and delivery initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with documentation standards, confidentiality requirements, and data protection policies.
    • Collaborate effectively with Business Analysts, Product Owners, developers, and other technical teams.
    • Support governance frameworks, approval processes, and audit readiness activities.
    • Contribute to documentation processes related to scalability, security, reliability, and performance considerations.
    • Follow established coding, documentation, and operational standards.
    • Quickly adapt to new business and technical domains as required.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Design, or a related discipline.
    • Postgraduate degree or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
    • Must have completed NYSC.
    • Minimum of 7–15+ years of relevant professional experience depending on role level (Intermediate, Specialist, or Consultant).
    • Demonstrated experience working within enterprise-scale digital, IT, or technology environments.
    • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

    Required Skills & Competencies:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
    • Strong knowledge of documentation tools, collaboration platforms, and enterprise systems.
    • Understanding of software delivery processes and technical terminology.
    • Ability to produce technical designs, release notes, operational manuals, and user guides.
    • Strong discipline in knowledge management and documentation handover processes.
    • Understanding of governance standards, auditability, and compliance requirements.
    • Awareness of documentation confidentiality and data protection principles.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
    • Ability to simplify technical information for non-technical audiences.
